The name gives it away, I had to do these particular piece of work for my school folio, and I would like some constructive criticism. Model - My sister who will remain unknown. Thanks guys. Also quick note... I was aiming for a pop art kind of feel, therefore why I only had a light tone and a shadow tone.
I think the shadow on the nose doesn't make sense, and I have a hard time seperating the hand from the face because they are the same color. Small details like they hair behind the eyebrow could also be fixed. I really love the eyes and the style. The sunburst background also adds a happy feeling to the entire drawing. The anatomy is also well done.
ignore top comment, he's pulling it out of his ass. It's horrible realy, it's just a bad, undetailed lineart coupled with the fill tool. Sure, I applaud at the choise of colours but the horrible anatomical and proportional mistakes and undetailedness of lineart and the colouring that is simply colouring, no real shading that makes any sense to be found anywhere. Look up some colouring tutorials and try again - theres simply too much wrong to get an idea where to guide you.
Yes, ignore me because I tried to actually find something constructive in this picture while also telling what to improve. You are right, saying that it basically is complete shit with nice colors would help him.

So did I, without saying "It's horrible really, it's just bad."
It's not nice to hide valuable information from people who need it.
i hate it when people pussyfoot around saying 'it sucks' just fucking say it sucks and how to make it not suck so much
Here, I even went through the trouble to find a good tutorial. http://gold-seven.deviantart.com/art/Digital-Colouring-Tutorial-127551378 I realised why DA sucks so much - majority of tutorials are for manga. Also one good thing about op- it is'nt manga.
Thank-you all for any form of Criticism, and yes, now I look at it, there is no form of shadow at the hands, which I didnt realize until now.
i hate it when people pussyfoot around saying 'it sucks' just fucking say it sucks and how to make it not suck so much
This is what I am after, as I would like people to be honest. Thanks guys. PS, I was aiming for a kind of Duo tone in the actual picture, since I was aiming for a kind of POP art feeling
i hate it when people pussyfoot around saying 'it sucks' just fucking say it sucks and how to make it not suck so much
you suck and you can make it not suck by getting out [editline]06:59AM[/editline] j/k [editline]07:01AM[/editline] OP should work more on the highlights and shadows to bring more depth. It's plain flat right now
