• While You are On Netflix

So, I am very new to the Facepunch Threads, and I want to give some advice on what you should stop by and watch on Netflix whenever you get the chance. Some may take more time than others, such as TV shows. Movies: o Reservoir Dogs (a very good movie, a lot of people have seen it, but if you haven't, WATCH IT!. o Mona Lisa (starring Robbie Coltrane [Hagrid], Michael Caine, Cathy Tyson, and Bob Hoskins) o Drive (this movie has gained a lot of popularity in the past year, so you may have already seen it) o Pusher III (a foreign movie, so don't watch it if you don't like subtitles, you should also watch the first two before you watch the third, they are not on netflix however) TV Shows: o Breaking Bad (duh) o Sherlock (huge duh) o Cracker (Robbie Coltrane as a criminal psychiatrist with a gambling and drinking addiction, watch it) o The Fall (very good cop show, that follows the story of the killer as much as they do the cops, there is only one killer, and currently there is one season) I hope you enjoy this list, and take time to watch these. Let me know of any other shows or movies you enjoyed, and maybe I will add them to the list. Again, I am very new to Facepunch and I am not sure how things go around here.
I'd probably say get a bit more info on each of these before making a thread, saying "duh" and "huge duh" doesn't really explain why we should watch them.
Personally a big recomendation I have is to watch the classic doctor who episodes. They really are all great stories and work well with the limits they were given. I find the best stories are the ones with the doctors: 3,4, and 7.
Supernatural is on Netflix, it's a great show. two guys hunt down supernatural beings, endgame is to find the one that killed their mother.
This seems like a good enough place to ask, I know it is possible to get US Netflix in the UK (apparently with some Chrome extension?), but can someone point me to a reliable source on doing so? The UK Netflix seems woefully lacking in content. Also if I manage to get a US Netflix sub, will it work on my tablet etc... as well? I've heard that once you have a working subscription from a country Netflix doesn't care where you are connecting from, is that true?
There's a chrome extension called 'Media Hint' , which is very good. I also use a DNS on my PS3 to view it. I have a UK subscription, but viewing US content is fine. Not sure about tablets though.

Would anyone recommend neflix?
Would anyone recommend neflix?
yes. if you have enough income to spend $9 a month, then it's worth it if you watch TV shows a lot.
Is it me, or does Canadian Netflix have a lot more popular movies than the US one? Scrolling through, just about everything I've seen listed I've heard of beforehand, and quite a bit are ones from the past couple of years.
Arrested Development is a big one too if you enjoy comedy and imo creative interwoven writing.
