man Disney, that was kinda dark. get a load of Pete's reaction: "no no, please, do it over there behind the bushes..."
what the fuck is this anti-speed limit propoganda at the end
Oh god, that part with Donald putting his head against the gun.
I thought he was gonna go Full Metal Jacket
That got dark really fast.
Why is it always Donald who got sent to the army? Why not Mickey? Or even Goofy?
wasn't there a banned cartoon where donald kills hitler?
Why is it always Donald who got sent to the army? Why not Mickey? Or even Goofy?
Because Donald is the unlucky guy.
Why is it always Donald who got sent to the army? Why not Mickey? There's even a theory that (supposedly) the reason he gets mad all the time and does all the crazy shit he does is because he has PTSD from the war. [editline]28th June 2014[/editline] He's a really sad character if you think about it.
wasn't there a banned cartoon where donald kills hitler?
I dunno, but there's this:
Why is it always Donald who got sent to the army? Why not Mickey? Or even Goofy?
If you notice, his normal outfit is that of the Navy, but the only time he's ever gone to the navy was Ducktales, about 60 years after his creation
HHAHAHAH!
Why is it always Donald who got sent to the army? Why not Mickey? Or even Goofy?
Why it's because he had a dream about the Nazi's taking over and he wanted to join the army to stop that from happening. In the end, he destroyed an entire Japanese base.
There's a theory that Donald Duck has PTSD and it's actually kind of plausible.
It's actually insane how brutal Disney used to be:

That's why there's a ton of wartime stuff too, propaganda was a huge money machine and there were few other places you could convey messages to so many people other than theaters and newspapers. Even Dr Seuss was a huge wartime figure [t]http://libraries.ucsd.edu/speccoll/dspolitic/pm/1942/20309cs.jpg[/t]
