Supernatural - Season 5 - Changing Channels scenes

I started watching the show a few weeks ago and I'm now on Season 5 and came across this episode.
I just wanted to share these amazing scenes as they remind me why I love this show so much. All that stuff that happens these two lovable guys.

Funny as hell.
I'm just now halfway through season 7, and I absolutely love this show. It has some rough parts, but that might be on purpose since there's shit/tension going on in that season in particular, but I love this show.

Just keep watching, it continues to get awesome/hilarious like the channel change stuff.
My dad and I used to watch this show alot. I think we stopped at like... season 8 or so. It just got too silly.
[sp] mostly because sam and dean would die and/or go to hell every other episode [/sp]
That said, the show still has a special place in my heart, and it was great before it got a little overboard with the silliness.

Well I didn't know that replying to someone with a spoiler in their post would reveal the spoiler! Luckily that's not that ridiculous at this point, but yeah I get what you mean.
I feel like, as the show progressed, it just could never get back to that original "monster hunting/supernatural CSI" type of show, but that's because shit just keeps hitting the fan, or too much stuff has happened for it to be able to return to 'normal'. I think it's intended, and it works well, but sometimes I do miss those days, and I love the episodes that are like them.
The biggest issue i still have with this is, Swan Song will always be the best end to this show ever, they just will never be able to top the ending there.
Don't get me wrong the show is still amazing and still going strong but i will always feel like the show should have been it at Season 5, it was just the buildup and perfect story arc.

It's gone back to a lot of monster hunting/monster of the week in the new season. Even though there's a bigger plot.

That was their intended end to the series and it really should have been.
None of this DBZ-tier "there's an even greater older evil to fight now!!"
Yeah, this current season has had a lot of one off 'just hunting' episodes.
Kinda glad I stopped after season 5, I've heard really mixed reviews after season 5
Imo seasons 1-5 are god tier and I consider everything post S5 finale is fanfic
Me and the GF watched this up until the end of season 7, as we got a box set.
6-7 were majorly meh, the [sp]Leviathan[/sp] and [sp]Bobby dying[/sp] narratives were a bit lacklustre.
Massive fan of all things Castiel though, and I loved the episode that was a big reference to Groundhog's Day.
Season 1-5 fantastic. Season 6 and 7 are ok, 8 and 9 and 10 are pretty good, while season 11 is almost on par with 1-5. This season I've actually been looking forward to each new episode, it's great. The one-off monster of the week episodes aren't as predictable and similar to old episodes.
This is one of my favorite episodes, along with the one where Dean has the fear virus and the one where the wishing well fucked up a town.

Also Chuck is awesome because all the episodes with him take the piss out of the fanbase.
I just hope this show gets a proper ending it deserves, a lot of these shows that were popular enough to have a long run just find them selves forsaken by the network and abruptly end.
I definitely got bored of the show after season 7 but it was an awesome ride at the time!
Wow, I fully expect this thread to be full of hate. I'm proud of you Facepunch

I know what you mean, a lot of people seem to associate it negatively with Tumblr and the like.
I liked all the seasons. There was a period where it was relatively slow and dull - a transition period, but then it went straight back to biblical cool shit.

Don't get confused, a majority of the fan base is cringe worthy and awful the shows pretty good still tho
Fans ruin everything
really been enjoying supernatural lately due to the new story arc [sp]about the darkness being god's sister and all[/sp] and disliking the in-between hunting episodes - i get so interested in the arc's story that interruptions [sp]like imaginary friends getting slaughtered lol[/sp] annoy me. i want to see how [sp]god eventually steps back into play[/sp]
I like the monster of the week episodes, especially this latest season when they've actually been hunting new, unique creatures instead the usual vampires, werewolves, and such.
Though I will never tire of ghost hunting episodes.
I don't think the show will ever 'end'. They've stated thousands of times that you either keep hunting, or you die on the hunt. There is no end, there is no retirement. The last episode will end with them driving off to the next hunt and leave it open-ended.

Also the best funny episodes in the series is the one in the OP, the Groundhog Day episode, and the one where Sam gets bad luck imho
This show, to me, is a classic example of something not following the five-season rule.
For most TV Shows, five seasons is the sweet spot for quality. After that, it quickly becomes more and more difficult to justify why the plot keeps continuing. At some point it just becomes unwatchable. A few shows break through to have six seasons and still stay reasonably good (The Sopranos, Lost, arguably Breaking Bad) but they're largely the exception to the rule.
Havent watched it since dean got out of purgatory with help from a demon or something. But yeah i liked supernatural precisely because of episodes like this, mystery spot? was fantastic as well.
I never got into this show because of the fanbase being obnoxious and spoiling every single fucking thing that ever happened in this show to me.
I feel like I need to wait ten years and just watch it after it has faded from memory.
I never understood someone avoiding a show or movie because of the fans.
There's literally nothing forcing you to interact with them. You don't have to talk to any of them or show up at conventions and proclaim aloud your interest in the same stuff.
