Basically, here you can talk about anything that doesn't deserve a thread.
So what does Facepunch think of Supernatural?
IMO it's a pretty good series if watched from the beginning.
Well I watched Halo: Legends or most of it, there are still two more left that I haven't got a chance to watch.
Before you ask, I'm not some raving fan-boy who loves the games and drags his knuckles along the floor slack jawed praising how great it is. The first two Halo's were amazing, ODST was really good actually, but Halo 3 was terrible. I read all the books because I like the universe, but that's about as far as I've gone.
Anyway, all I can say is the entire film so far is an abortion of Halo. Everything is non-canon and it's just terrible, it's like they don't know what Halo is. These people obviously have their head so far up their asses that they couldn't get someone to verify this stuff, just a casual fan atleast. I'm not going to sit here and anally name every single issue I have because I'll be here all night.
Instead I'm going to tell you what I like so far.
Basically, in the one short "Homecoming" I like the scenes from the past where the Spartan is still a kid. Those were actually pretty emotional in some ways, not enough to make me depressed or cry or anything but it did draw emotion. Everything else was crap though, except the very end with the burial which was kind of emotional too. Other then that, really, it was shit.
Lastly, the 6th? Short in. The "Be Human" one was excellent. I don't understand WHY they couldn't make the others like this. It was emotional, it had alot of really good action, nothing hugely over the top, defying gravity acrobatics or anything but it was exciting and fun to watch. Granted, voice acting was kind of sucky in some parts (Marines) and there were issues, little things like blood colors and such. All in all I can completely look past those little things because the short was so good, it was deep on a level and I really enjoyed it.
So I need to watch the last two. Everything else is an abortion though, just so you guys know. Also I thought I'd like the obvious Non-Canon '1337' short because I was like "Hey, it may be funny." Oh, boy was I wrong that shit made me want to bash my head into the wall, it was the most cliche, "WHACKY HUMOR" weaboo-ist shit I've ever seen.

Okay, the second to last one was good. Not incredible, not shitty, it was good. That's all I can say. The Japanese can't seem to nail good voice acting but whatever, it was decent.
The last one, oh god. I want to kill myself. It's like if they turned Pulp Fiction into a short where they flew space motorcycles and did crazy acrobatics while gun fighting inside a space ship. It was that bad, oh my god, what is this I don't even
So I finished watching The Road. I read the book and honestly they didn't screw it up as much as I thought they would.
The only problem I had was - It wasn't dirty enough. The boy was too clean, the man. The snow was white, the beach had sand, etc. Everything should have ash on it, no exceptions unless it's recently moved.
Other then that it followed the book pretty well, I could have done without the flashbacks, they really didn't do anything for me or the movie in my opinion.
Overall I actually enjoyed it and I was not disappointed even though I began expecting to be.
Isn't a thread like this kind of counter-conducive to the purpose of this sub-forum?
It's just a place to post little shit you don't want to make an entire thread for. I didn't want to make an entire thread for The Road.
I heard about The Road and it sounded like something I'd like, but then I watched the trailer and it doesn't interest me.
I actually watched Freaknik: The Musical, on Adult Swim, and was suprised to find it quite entertaining.
Anyone else see it?
We needed one of these I think, should be good for discussing what we've been watching, just like the gold member TV thread. Anyway, @ the second poster, I've watched all the episodes of supernatural, great series and I can't wait till it comes off its break.
Shall I bump up the Futurama thread?

Stream it for free, give it a chance or rent it.

I saw a part of it, I plan to watch it next time it's on because I didn't get to finish. I HATE rap and I hate everything that show stood for but for some reason I want to see the rest, I guess it's not as bad as I thought it would be, they just make fun of sterotypes.
I managed to get a hold on Up in the Air and A Serious Man on DVD and I watched them back to back yesterday. I heard they were good, and they were, but they really don't fit my tastes as all I like to watch are comedies and horror movies and usually comedic horror movies with a small dash of drama. A Serious Man was very serious for the most part and the ending was kind of left open for interpretation. I don't regret watching it, but I probably wouldn't watch it again. I liked Up in the Air better and I actually planned on seeing it in the theatres, but when I got there I saw the much better Sherlock Holmes instead. They're both good movies, but they're not really for my tastes. Did anybody else see them?

They tried to make Holmes all edgy and modernized and they didn't even leave in his coke habit. I was really surprised at that
