A rare pair of hurricanes will impact Hawaii over the next few days. Iselle will approach the islands Thursday afternoon through Friday morning, while Julio is expected to pass just north of the big island Sunday morning. Dating to 1949, there is only one case where tropical cyclones with direct impact on Hawaii were less than 10 days apart.
http://www.wunderground.com/ http://www.weather.com/news/weather-hurricanes/hurricane-iselle-hawaii-hurricane-warning-20140806 That must suck for all those vacationers.
That must suck for all those vacationers.
Oh but I'm sure the locals don't mind.
I know a dude who is moving there real soon. Hope his house is tough.
This'll be the first time I've been in a hurricane
Oh but I'm sure the locals don't mind.
The locals are used to lava flowing through their living room. I'm sure they'll be fine.
I was watching the morning news and didn't think anything of it until they showed another one right behind it, holy fuck that's gonna devastating, I feel for any facepunchers out there. Bunker down, friends.
That's shit is gonna hit where my sister lives. Hope her shit doesn't get wrecked.
Don't worry they're just little ones you're gonna be fine.
Atleast until the Cat 2 Hits them too.. http://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/east-pacific/2014/hurricane-Julio?map=5day Good luck to those who actually get hit by it, living in cities / towns near the ocean you kinda have to put up with it, i know i had my share of hurricanes here in Texas. Just make sure you have some supplies to last for quite some time, considoring that any type of hurricane no matter the catagory can ruin a lot of stuff.
See, this is why I put 270 miles and a mountain in between me and the coast.
That is my nightmare. Stay safe guys

Yeah, going shopping here on Maui in the past week has been ridiculous. I felt ridiculous just getting Poptarts and coffee yesterday morning while everyone else was buying boxes of bottled water...
I had to cut my vacation sort because of this

Also, expect extremely loud noises going off every other second. If your house is anywhere near the coastline or on unstable ground, evacuate because the rain and storm surging will not stop until it's all over.
My plane from Hawaii literally landed the day this news came about.

(Makawao) I guess wind is the biggest concern.
Don't worry, they'll totally cancel each other out by spinning in opposite directions.
What if I'm on a mountain? (Makawao) I guess wind is the biggest concern.
Yeah, the wind in a hurricane gets stronger the higher up you go.
Take some videos. Sorry if that sounds like a stupid request, but I like seeing extreme weather. Stay safe first though.

I've walked my dog during a cat2 before. It's no huge deal.
