This band is fantastic and relatively unknown, they are yet to release an album but its in the works, and the sample song they have up is just perfect, fat 8 strings with lots of djent and amazing vocals, they really are amazing "bangs head"

First impressions are good. Like their site, like their player (not the generic MySpace player), and I like their album art for their one song.
Listening now (I love both Sybreed and NMCC-ish Meshuggah, and would love to find more bands).
I kinda like the vocoder on the vocals, though I think it needs to be a bit deeper. Background vocals scream Antares for me, which I like it. I'm enjoying how they have the aggression of Slave Design, and yet the spacey keyboards of Antares.
I feel as though if this song was mastered beefier (needs a thicker low-end), this could be a great song.
Great find, mate. I'll be keeping an eye on these guys. I am enjoying what I'm hearing.
I'm liking the Dystopic breakdown around 2:50 (makes me think of "Take the Red Pill" off Slave Design; my favorite song off the album). Hell, these guys are just plain good.
The only thing that could make this better (other than more low-end, of course), is if they integrated Fear Factory's Mechanize somehow. :awesome:
Capped at the moment but I'm definately going to give these guys a listen when my net resets. I love Meshuggah's style.
It's kinda like a blend of Necrophagist and Meshuggah, which in theory sounds awesome to me but I don't really like it. Not a fan of these kinds of vocals.
Where are you hearing Necrophagist?
I'm hearing more Sybreed than anything else - it's pretty obvious to me they're taking most their influence from Antares. Though I'm glad they're injecting the Dystopic fury that was Slave Design into their spacey Antares influence - personally, I have a feeling that this album is going to sound like what Antares should have sounded like.
Also, I'm not really hearing that much Meshuggah - but then, that may be because I'm hearing a lot of Sybreed, and one of Sybreed's main influences are Meshuggah. :v:

I agree. The part between 30-40 seconds really reminds me of Foul Body Autopsy, and there's plenty of djent-y guitar.
Yeah they sound pretty Sybreed, without as much of an industrial style.
If Textures and Sybreed got drunk and had unprotected sex, Neosis would be the result
I'm sorry for this, but I've been seeing the word used left and right.
What the fuck is djent?
Onomatopoeia of a guitar style, from what the sound makes. Meshuggah, Sybreed, Periphery, Textures, etc all use it.
Good example of pure djent instrumentals (and a damn good song as well)

Periphery are also good for this sorta stuff :D
(This is the br00tal instrumental version)

I hate how the guitars sound, it's like percussion. :saddowns:
Also, if you guys like the Cyber-metal sound of Neosis and others, I just found another band (off a related video of Neosis's song on YouTube. Personally I like them better than Neosis.)
SubVersive - Bypass

Quite interesting. I don't like clean vocals in my djent, but they sort of work here.
Listened to Unwilling Fate (the song). It was good. I like it.
On the subject of bands that sound like Meshuggah and Sybreed, I present Vortice from Spain:

No there isn't. Twang is not djent.
Personally, I think that the guitars have too much mid boost, and they sit too high in the mix.

I agree with this statement.
The song needs more lower-end, period.
Neosis are pretty awesome, Vortice too. Anyone got more suggestions of bands Sybreed-style?

The lack of lower end made me like the song.
Don't like their tone at all. And while it may be a petty thing, they look like a bunch of posers :v:

You know who else looks like a bunch of posers?

These guys.
You know what these guys play?

That.
:colbert:
I know you said it's a petty thing, but it's really a moot thing - not even worth bringing up, really.
Nah I know it wasn't really worth bringing up, just a minor source of irritation. I'm not a fan of Neosis anyway, purely because I'm not a particularly big djent fan.
No offense intended :buddy:
