Go to 0:27 to skip the promo if you want.
I kinda want to see these added just to see how much more they can fuck with the visuals.
I'd imagine they're gonna add all this stuff to the battle royale gamemode. You wouldn't have to worry about pissing off the fanbase of the regular CS yet you could add in whatever you wanted since the new gamemode would be quite different from the usual CS gameplay
References to it have been spotted in code, iirc.

CS:GO could be a real contender in the battle royale scene if they can get big maps out of the Source engine. The game runs on lower end hardware, has good anticheat and netcode, and is cheap at 15 US dollars.

Source engine has always been awful with map size due to assets limit and preloading the entire map, rather than procedural loading.
I don't know of one example of the Source engine being used in a Open-world massive map deal.
i could see valve updating the engine to handle things like that way better in the pursuit of usurping the battle royale throne
Source 2 is supposedly able to handle maps on the scale of several miles.

99% sure it also has level streaming, so you could like play all of half-life 2 with no load screens.

I honestly want to see the custom player model stuff added in, as long as it's within reason.
[sp]it probably won't be though[/sp]
