Hey All,
Here is our latest video, I hope you like it :)
Editing was fantastic, by far the best ones of these I've seen!
that power girl had even more power than the original
been seeing these over the years, and it's very samey. the basic ingredient you use is:
- catchy music
- slow motion shots at every opportunity
i feel like once i've seen one, i've seen em all

That's just a video editing formula, and you're not watching this for the editing, you're watching this for the cosplays.
Atleast that's what I watch these for???

I agree they are all very similar, but for the purposes of showing the costumes off it is perfectly fine.

Should have refreshed page, oh well.

That's like complaining about two books using the same font, IMO(hyperbolic statement, obviously.) This video exists to demonstrate the cosplay, and the presentation style is conducive to that. It's like, if he had posted images in the thread instead, would you be like "omg the images are all rectangles; why no circles bruh?"
Maybe I am being overly harsh, but your critique feels a little unnecessary and I can't imagine ever wanting to critique this sort of thing, when it has a generally good quality of presentation that is both not distracting, and filled with the content I wanted to see.

I think he's just commenting about the overabundance of the whistling, ukulele, tambourine; all around kitschy vibe every single piece of media uses lately.
I saw the "Pickle Rick" costume, but I don't seem to understand the joke. I must not be smart enough.

PICKLE REE
I went to this (Dressed as The Merchant from RE4), was pretty neato. There is always a massive piss-up at the pub that is next to the Excel centre after the Con has finished.
Was not expecting those 4 cosplaying as the Thornberrys of all things.

Nah, my main point was this guy has been making these videos for a solid few years. He should try a bit of creativity and lateral thinking instead of sticking with his cookie cutter template.
Holy shit I was not expecting Major Kira, Lt. Cmdr. Dax & Garak?
DS9 is my shit.

I don't watch these for the editing, I watch them for the costumes.
His format works perfectly fine and does what it's supposed to, show off the costumes.
If you wanna watch a clusterfuck of a video than be my guest but I'd wager that a lot of us prefer this simple style as it does not distract for the whole purpose of the video, again, showing off the costumes.

great style of argument, you disagree with my opinion and like things the way they are, so you insinuate the "change of style" i mentioned means it has to be a clusterfuck of a video? noice. the guy could change his editing style to give his audience a breath of fresh air without it detracting from the main focus - the cosplay.

he's been making these since 2012, you'd think he'd want a change of pace or to add something new to his style a bit after 5 years of creating the same exact style of video?

If it works and get him paid, why change?

Except his style HAS evolved since 2012. Go compare his first cosplay video to this one and you'll notice that there is a distinct lack of filters and special effects for starters. Not a huge change by any means but it's there and at odds with your insinuation that nothing has changed since 2012.
I'd say it also goes without saying that his video quality also vastly improved as well.

this is a shitty mindset to have as a creator, so i sure hope he doesn't think along the same lines as you
Wonder woman sure was...something of epic proportions

or

but I guess you can show on the reaper doll where steam powered giraffe touched you
Those guys as the Birds of War from it's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fucking got me good

I understand where you are coming from, but even for paid photographers or videographers, a lot of times client go for a 'look', and if they feel it looks good, they all want to have the same style in their event/advertisment.
A Heathers cosplay at 1:23? Didn't see that coming.
