The Italian actor Bud Spencer is dead. He died at the age of 86 years. This was confirmed by his son Giuseppe Pedersoli the German Press Agency. "He has not suffered, he had us all with him and his last word was" Thank you, "Pedersoli told the Italian news agency Ansa According.
If 2016 didn't suck already..
This has been a goddamn hell of a year. Many important people and many people we loved died.
I grew up with his movies togheter with his mate Terence Hill (which now is a priest in the TV fiction Don Matteo), and as this week wasn't enough, one of my heroes died right today... FUCKING TODAY.
Ci mancherai, gigante buono. Insegna agli angeli a tirar cazzotti.
I loved Bud Spencer's movies, especially Banana Joe. God damn, RIP
God fucking damn it hero of my childhood

The big thing is the fact that we've come far enough in time that 1. actors we recognize are getting old enough to pass away because of their age, 2. media has gotten big enough that we hear about every time it happens
The farther time goes the worse it will get

I totally agree on what you said.
At least, he died around the affection of his family. Not everybody have this luxury anymore.
Dang, I loved the stuff he and Terence Hill did together. They were a great duo.

Maaan those afternoons of lazily zapping the tivo and landing in him and terence beating up the baddies.
This is terrible news. RIP, big guy. It's comforting to know that his last moments were with his loved ones.
God damn i really didn't expect this but i knew it would happen sooner or later. He is and was one of my favourite actors of all time. Really ruined the day for me. His movies especially with Terence hill are only well known in Italy, Germany and Hungary and they are pretty much considered cult movies in Hungary. May he rest in piece, i will make sure that his legacy will remain and that he won't be forgotten.
man what a tragedy. Sounds like he had a nice death tho, surrounded by his family. Bud and Spencer were my childhood heroes, we were watching them so many times.

They are basically heroes in those countries.
And Bud, He was like an European Chuck Norris for us, with all his punches and situations as well. Every italian loved his movies.
And now we are stuck with Terence Hill acting as a priest who solves crimes called Don Matteo, helps the carbineers with their investigations and sometimes speak with prisoners...
This duo MUST NOT be forgotten by the next generations. They showed us that violence used against bad people ain't that bad if is for a good cause.
At least he gave everyone great movies. That's a good thing to be thankful for. May he rest in peace.
I didn't know so many people around the world knew about Bud Spencer & Terence Hill

I actually stumbled across him after stumbling into the Terence Hill/Henry Fonda film My Name is Nobody. Of course followed that one up with the Trinity movies.
