Where can you even find the demo?
Looks rad as hell, and I love the little gag at the end.
All of you guys would recommend this over strafe?
All of you guys would recommend this over strafe?
The levels are actually designed and not random generation bullshit, so yes.
All of you guys would recommend this over strafe?
The game isn't out yet so you're gonna have to wait a bit for an answer
Where can you even find the demo?
They gave keys out to various random lucky people on their Discord or something. It wasn't "publicly" released because it was intended for Youtubers and shows like PAX.

DOOM's soundtrack was so great for many reasons so I'm glad to have another shooter come out with a super heavy metal soundtrack.
I just don't know if the retro-3D fps graphics appeals to me like other retro style graphics.
Honestly just happy that it really nails the visual style of the time, a lot of "retro" games don't do that quite right. Looks fun as hell too, even if the games it's aping aren't ones I played much when I was younger.

The music and sound can drastically change the mood of the game when done properly, or so I think. The only time I mute music is in competitive multiplayer games.

I'm sick of the 2d pixel art style games that are so common these days, I'm glad someones trying to emulate the early 3d era of gaming and actually doing it well. I especially love the look of the part at 0:34
A trailer that shows off options, including a FOV slider? Finally, game developers are tailoring their games for being discussed by TotalBiscuit! :v: And speaking of specific people, I think people need to check to make sure these devs didn't kidnap Mick Gordon for making their soundtrack. Because I'm loving the DOOM 2016 vibes off these tracks. :excited:

Dusk has the imitation down properly, but the few other games I've seen attempting to do the throwback style often overdo it and make it look worse than a game actually would have at the time. And they're specifically meant to imitate a particular era rather than be its own art style that happens to be low-poly. You can see some good examples of it floating around on various artists's tumblrs but there hasn't really been a full game that seizes on it.

Will the game have modding support? I can imagine this game being mod heaven
Will the game have modding support? I can imagine this game being mod heaven
tbh port all ut99 guns [editline]10th August 2017[/editline] also, all quake guns too
kinda wish they'd keep the cheesy taglines of the reveal trailer "Be called a HERETIC" "QUAKE in fear" "Meet your DOOM"
Cool I like the minecraft aesthetic
Cool I like the minecraft aesthetic
"It's Minecraft meets Doom! And It's difficult like Dark Souls!"
