Why, hello there! It's that time again! Welcome to Create a Battle, where you sprite your very own army, plonk them down into the battlefield, and, like the tittle suggests, battle! Now, there are a few rules regarding this game. 1. No nukes. 2. You can bring in large amounts of infantry if you want, but no endless hordes. 3. No OP weapons. 4. It's usually best to let your enemy decide how a soldier reacts to them being shot a certain way. 5. Be realistic and fair. Your guys won't fire in a way that's 100% accurate (Unless it's a sniper), and especially not when they've just been surprised. No amount of backstory will let you circumvent this rule. 6. NO SLIMES. It's not our fault you can't draw anything better than a splotch of colour. 7. No ridiculous armies. That means you should probably deploy something that has hands, feet, and can use a gun. 8. There's a nuke and a data pod, and you want to get to one of them. 9. Start near either side of the map. 10. Don't move large distances in one turn, kind of fits with rule 5. This also means you won't be able to dig large distances in a turn. (Digging is also slower) 11. You must declare to make your turn. Declaring is like making a reservation to make a turn, so nobody ninjas you. If someone has already declared, you must wait to declare. 12. Do not declare stack past 2. Declare stacking is when you literally get in line to declare, I.E. "Declare after x". This means if someone has already reserved a declare after the person currently declaring, you must wait until the first is done in order to stack onto the next guy. 13. No biomass armies, but assimilator things are allowed, as long as they are fair. 14. I AM THE GAME MASTER, OBEY ME, PEASANTS! Now, a few notes regarding the map. See that bunker? You're not ever going to be able to blow through any of the walls or doors. Deal with it. And speaking of those doors, see those colours? Those are locks. You need a yellow keycard for yellow locks, red for red locks. Normal infantry are capable of hacking yellow locks, but it takes a few turns. An unlocked or hacked lock will have a blue lock displayed. You will need specialists to hack red doors. This does not mean you can suddenly turn around and say "Yes but the X empire's troops are specially trained to hack any electrical devices!" And that's it! I will let you guys have the first declare, for I am currently busy creating new sprites for my Kyruth'za! P.S.: Dmaster is able to rift into the bunker or caves, since his troops entered the rift to this place together with the Kyruth'za. Credit to Xron for the missile! (I PM'd him if I could use it, but he hasn't responded yet)
Declare.
Is it alright if I start with a small base? I want to do something a bit special, nothing amazing.
Err, sure! But you should make it in the middle, and make sure it's not too unfair. [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] Also, you'll owe me one winner, hand it in at the OP.
Since a few posts have passed, I may as well post my turn here. An army of the King, Claykurn, Has Arrived, Little to their Knowledge, they are standing above a bunker of [Insert Shit here.]. The King, shall give his speech of wartimes. "Today, We know not of our Enemy, though I will not set aside this sword until none of them stand, or their might makes us fall. They may be Projectile-Weapon toting beasts of war, or if they are just lowly caveheads, We shall fight, In the name of our Emperor!" And thus, The epic battle has begun. (Sorry for the Fuckhueg army. It's just that a Medieval army would be ripped to shreds if I were just Using a Scout force.)
Declare.
(Sorry for the Fuckhueg army. It's just that a Medieval army would be ripped to shreds if I were just Using a Scout force.)
Yeah, your forces would probably not last very long if they were in lesser numbers, so it's okay.
Vault Station 071 appears on the field. Holding a dangerous but unknown piece of technology, suspected to be organic, it's one of many vault stations scattered across the Arcturan Empire. This one is a high security station and is sealed with many security features and guards. Reinforcements are expected.
Wait... Is that a Broken Dalek In Storage? Ho. Lee. Shit.
Love the banner you got going there! I'll be sure to declare later.
Quick declare. [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] Just some minor map edits.
declare [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] The BluBots arrive on the battlefield in an APC armed with a HE tank cannon modified for light vehicle use. It would be unwise to try and mess with it from a distance as it has capabilities close to a tanks, your best option would be to get in close or to disrupt targetting systems. That said, thats quite enough about its weaknesses! A HMG squad moves further up preparing to set up on the entrance to the bunker to stop any enemies entering without a fight.
Declare. The army disperses after the King's Speech, and two Scouts in Particular find the Blubots, and attempt to ally with them, drawing the Green Flag of Alliance. "Greetings Metaloid People! We are part of the great King Claykurn's army, and we wish to ally with you, In case of any strange happenings, or traps set by people past! Would you be willing to set an alliance up, Metaloid People?"
Declare [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] Dramatic entries are so much fun to do... [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] Meanwhile in the outer orbit of the planet, a Cythulinian Capital warship beams in a strike team with two objectives. 1(main). Acquire Data Pod 2(optional). Acquire/utilize nuclear weapons The beam obliterates the trees and landscape, hardening the surface land, while loosening the dirt below it due to the lack of roots, causing instability (screw you burrowers!) and disintegrating the grass. The strike team appears. Several of the Roboid division appear alongside the T.F (Tycanic Force). The captain (dude with the horns) surveys the area, while the rest of the units ready their equipment and inspect their surroundings. The Mech's gunner mans his position. GOD THAT FIRE TOOK SO LONG.
Declare [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] A drop pod lands.
Declare. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] A cover system is set up in case of a lockdown.
I'd declare and bring in my army, but I'm in the process of replacing my old huge sprites with newer ones based on the PW scale... It's safe to say that it has not been a very successful journey :(
Well. My army is in a Tight Spot.
Well, I added that tree there for a reason, cut it down and get on board to cross the river, captain!
declare
OHOHO TIME FOR SOME FUN. OHOHO OHH HOHOOO Declare. [edit] after muffin
It brings me great joy to see so many people post in my first thread :>
Underequipped was never a word used to describe the BluBots, within minutes of the mecha landing near to them a satellite signature had already been established and the tank's barrel trained firmly on it. A second danger was present hiding in the trees with an AAMW, a missile launcher capable of striking from directly above. The squad moved into hiding positions whilst the HMG team discussed with the kings sodliers. "We're the BluBots, and we'll gladly take any help we can get - you look a little unprepared though..."
Sup guys, I've been away for a while but you might remember me from that battle a while back (I was the GSC) so yeah. Declare
Time for me :>
By the way guys, here's a vote about the map. Vote agree if you would like me to work on the map tomorrow, expanding it overall and perhaps adding better cave systems. Vote disagree if you think it's fine. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] Also, it's zombie's turn, being the GAME MASTER, I hereby declare that maximizer will be skipped if he skipped zombie, who declared before him.
Sorry dude. I'll wait my turn.
NVM,
uhh.... ok. I'll make my turn then. If zombie still wants to post then disregard it :) A small detachment of GSC soldiers wait in the base. A few of them go exploring. In the control room, the sergeant enjoys a cigarette. With his back facing them, he gives two soldiers the orders. "What we need to do is hold this base at all costs. We can't let anyone in. But remember, we do have supplies on their way." It's a good thing the GSC makes nearly all their vehicles amphibious, because without it they couldn't cross the lake. An artillery truck stays behind with two guards while a sniper positions himself atop a large rock, oblivious to the men beneath him.
