Oh lookie, a brit talking shit about the EU.
What a surprise
so is this old git gonna be posted every single time he makes a new video, inevitably causing an argument, therefore making him the new thunderfoot?

Well, he did have a good point in that video. But most of his videos are shit
Not this guy again. Sometimes he has some good points but he's very radical and provocative in the way that he speaks to a point where he isn't being diplomatic at all.
I like that even though he is essentially correct and presents his arguments in a very clear and rational way, people still dogmatically just rate dumb and insult rather than actually giving a reasoned response.
Well, I'd rather have Europe than no Europe.
Mostly because it's so easy to travel.
The Schengen Agreement is pretty great.
Well, I'd rather have Europe than no Europe.

And quite a few other benefits that simpletons can't get into their heads.
Let us vote for a right wing party because they are against the eu and ignore all their other policies!

You Europeans will never sully our sacred lands with your borderless ways.
rantings from a man that fundamentally does not understand the interactions of the UK and the EU
if anyone seriously believes that EU laws take effect in the UK without UK government consent, fucking educate yourself
[editline]7th May 2014[/editline]
start by reading the first fucking lines of the EU law section on the constitution of the UK wikipedia page because this man clearly has not
The title doesn't even make any sense.
The people in Brussels are voted in. It's like people realise that we're not the only one's voting, and take that to mean that we have zero say.
people in the comments using switzerland as an example of surviving without reliance on other states
LOL

The EU Parliament just vote on what the Commission puts in front of them.

So the group which doesn't effect laws is the more powerful?
Does it even matter who is proposing the laws, as long as those who are elected are putting them into action (or not)?
Why is Facepunch so crazy about the EU? Is centralizing power so great? Don't you like democracy?
Well, I'd rather have Europe than no Europe.
Europe was around before the EU you know.

Yeah he gets sick winner ratings, certainly has nothing to do with Facepunch's large Islamophobic community

What is an RC thread?
Yeah he gets sick winner ratings, certainly has nothing to do with Facepunch's large Islamophobic community
That's sort of an ad hominem isn't it.

Oh no I forgot this was high school debate club not a video game forum for elitist nerds

Yeah, Europe was around while we sliced eachother to bits for centuries then had the two biggest wars in History on the same continent.
Good times

The reason why developed countries are no longer involved in conventional wars is thanks to communications and trade, not oversized superstates.
The reason why developed countries are no longer involved in conventional wars is thanks to communications and trade, not oversized superstates.
Which the EU facilitates very well.

Well gee I wonder what the EU helps with
Well gee I wonder what the EU helps with
Fascism, the death of culture, and the suppression of free speech, obviously
Why is Facepunch so crazy about the EU? Is centralizing power so great? Don't you like democracy?
Most members are not dumb and/or irrationally fearful and reactionary.
Bit of a tip: centralization of power does not detract from democracy and is not some oogie boogie evil to be paranoid about.
Which the EU facilitates very well.

Well gee I wonder what the EU helps with
That's not logical. The EU is not only a economical union, it is a politcal union. Just because trade agreements are made in the EU currently doesn't mean they couldn't have been made without it, or that the EU on the whole is a good thing.

WHY AREN'T YOU PART OF THE AMERICAN UNION
centralization of power does not detract from democracy and is not some oogie boogie evil to be paranoid about.
I would argue that it inherently makes democracy weaker, more difficult and is a bit like putting all of your eggs in one basket.
I like it how everyone just instantly labels him an old miserable git even though he's sourced everything in his youtube channel. At least try to actually refute what he's saying instead of calling him names, Facepunch. After all, you absolutely loved last week's video and ate that shit up, didn't you? Don't take this for me supporting him or going against him, you guys are just a bunch of fucking hypocrites is all.
