So I'm turning 18 in 8 days, and I needed some ideas for tattoos, feedback on my idea, and figured I'd like to hear about other people's tattoos. I was thinking about getting a 7 on my back left shoulder, with a shark around the back of it, because 7's my favorite number (for multiple reasons) and because I'm a swimmer and I love sharks. Any comments on it? I still haven't gotten a good drawing of it so if anyone is pretty artistic, it'd be sweet to get a little concept art haha. Anyone else have any ideas for good tattoos, or pictures of theirs?

Spend your money on a really cool jacket. Then later if you feel like it have the jacket embroidered with the tattoo that you would want.
More likely then not though you wouldn't dare embroider the jacket for fear of ruining it, and that is where the lesson lies.

Pick something meaningful to you.
I really do like my idea, I figured I'd get the mature 1% of the FP community to reply to it haha. That hand tattoo is pretty damn sweet.

I would say wait a bit. I think the whole thrill of getting a tattoo is when you turn 18 right away and you can actually get one without parental permission. Besides i would pick a tattoo that has some meaning to it. If you just randomly get one you might get bored with it after a while. Its on there forever.
If you don't know what you want for a tattoo then you should be getting one right now.
Wait till you can figure something out and get something personal and meaningful. Don't just do it because you're turning 18. Trust me, a lot of my friends have done that just to be "cool" or just to "have one" and regretted it.
As for your drawing, get something sketched up then let the tattoo artist see it. Maybe he/she can add to it and improve it vastly. And whatever you do avoid the places that just do pre-drawn designs and all that shit. Go to a real talented artist.
