Notable members include Ben Kuchera (Polygon Editor), Mike Futter (Game Informer Editor), Dale North (Destructoid Editor-in-chief), Nathan Grayson (Kotaku Writer)
- Evidence arose to suggest that Phil Fish, among others, had been rigging the Independent Games Festival winners for personal financial game. This is totally illegal if true, but the claim is still under investigation so it's not like it's proven true yet.
Somewhere along the way, Phil Fish's website got hacked "by the head moderator of /V/" in a way that made absolutely no sense unless he'd done it himself (somehow Polytron's bank statements were supposedly being stored on the website for some reason, which would be insane if true), Anita Sarkeesian supposedly got a death threat and cancelled a speech, and Gamers Are Dead, as reported by 9 different sources at the exact same time all of them with editors on the Game Journos Pros list.
Less importantly, a twitter war happened, lots of people got death threats and doxxed, and basically gamers are horrible nerd people and should all be killed.
Oh and a guy called [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYPC-YMdJFI]Jace Connors[/url] tried to drive to Brianna Wu's house to challenge her to a drag race, but crashed his mom's Prius. Both Brianna and ParkourDude both claim this is evidence of GamerGate/SJW hit squads after them.
Anyway, lots of sites have basically been selectively ignoring various pieces of information, but basically it's just turned into a huge internet fight and hopefully it'll make everyone hate gamers super hard so we can get more super accurate episodes of Law and Order SVU about video games.[/QUOTE]

i don't really think it's that funny of a joke, if that's what video game journalism is. a lot of people use that very funny joke to help them come to a decision as to what to spend their money on
