Eton is a bit of a bubble of wealth and tradition that non-rich people are excluded from. In a way it's completely out of touch with mainstream society. The fact that so many politicians come from there and schools like it is disheartening given how they're supposed to represent the masses.
The fact that you automatically see it as jealousy is also a bit shit.
Doing some quick math using figures on the Wikipedia page, its effectively a secondary school with a sixth form with a cost of £11k per term. (3 terms a year)
That means the total cost of having your child getting the most of out of Eton is... £165,000.~
