They changed Dexter's voice in between the changes in animation style because the voice actress's voice changed. and I haven't seen that CGI special yet, so I don't know if all of their voices are intact. So it's either because of their voice change or the studio didn't have enough money to get those three back. Either way, it's going to be pretty jarring to hear new voices into the characters we grew up with. It's similar to how the Pokemon anime cast was entirely recasted after the Pokemon Company took over. Some of the characters will just sound way too off from the original voice. The artstyle looks alright. I prefer it over that one we saw a couple years ago for that special one-off episode. But at least that had the original VA's

I suppose it's just giving the PPG a new modern look without messing with the style at all. I would have preferred danced pantsed's art style, as much as some purists hated it. Still, looks promising enough given they have experienced staff. Only complaints I could see is not getting McCracken or the vas to return, since it was McCracken's idea to end the series, which I see as perfect timing. Hopefully we're getting good reboot and not Teen Titans Go [editline]9th June 2015[/editline] Also I never noticed how both old and new PPG had their limbs sprout from their heads when the situation calls for it

The new ones is much more "circle-y" than the old ones. I think that they've done that because its cheaper/easier to animate with that style on current animation technology. If only they've got the voice actors back this would be perfect.

Man... if you have the opportunity to get the new voice actors then do it. It seems like they didn't even ask them or anything, what a shame.

As long as the new VA aren't drastically different I think I'll survive. It is a bit sad though.

All I know is that if the voice actors are way different sounding it's going to throw me off. I haven't seen PPG in years and I can still remember how their voices sound pretty much perfectly, and I always thought they were very appropriate. Dunno, approach with caution I guess. At least the art style is still mostly the same.

Getting new VAs is not a terribly bright decision, but seeing as the target audience wasn't even alive when the first series was on, it may not matter in the ratings department.
