Aw what. That's no fun. They don't even have to wear ear protection.
Eh, we'll be getting used to the sound. The turbo noise is nice.
Also, we've had V6 Turbos during the 1980, and they are fondly remembered.

Second one took me off guard. Could have been hoverbikes and I would've believed it.
2014 one sounds like a sound effect used for hovercars in like, The Fifth Element or something.
reminds me of sega megadrive sound effects

i cannot imagine anything more dull than sitting there and watching cars go swoosh for 10-15 seconds and then waiting forever for it to happen again
shit even baseball is more exciting than this
i really like the sport but i've never really understood the allure of seeing it in person. i'm sure the spectacle of it all would be great but the actual race would be boring

Yeah. I love racing, but I can't stand to watch it in person. :v:
NASCAR would be more somewhat exciting to watch in person, because the cars are always shifting positions and are basically constantly on the brink of crashing into each other. Still would be pretty dull though, IMO.
I lived 10 minutes from the VIR at one point and I'd watch the races every so often at the Viper car club or some other event and it really is boring unless you're seated on a turn where cars overtake each other or slow down enough for you to see them.
I feel like formula 1 would be fun to watch if tracks had the audience sit where they can see the whole track, but that would probably cost loads of money.

it's only good going to a race if you've got a seat in a grand stand that's near speakers and a tv, otherwise it's utterly pointless
also there's the experience of walking through the paddock etc, i used to marshal races and often got to meet the teams and drivers (not very often at silverstone for the f1 though) which made the weekends more enjoyable - getting on a post near a tv was a bonus too

the cars do sound bloody good once you've got past the initial "oh my god my eardrums haven't burst" shock, the whistle from the turbo is beautiful
there's also a big plus in that you can actually hear what the drivers are saying on the pit radio now rather than it just being a faint mumble
wow that is so cool that is some sci-fi shit
