A man who once jumped a fence at the White House was shot and killed at a Pennsylvania courthouse Tuesday after slashing a sheriff's deputy with a knife, an official said. Curtis Smith, 34, attacked the deputy at the security entrance to the Chester County Justice Center in West Chester, according to a statement from the office of Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan. A second deputy drew a weapon and shot Smith. Hogan said in his statement that Smith is the same man who climbed an outer stone wall near the White House in March. It was not clear why he was at the courthouse.
http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/25/us/pennsylvania-white-house-jumper-killed/index.html
At least he didn't harm anyone else. High five to the officers involved.

Sounds like he had some serious mental issues.
i'm guessing it is safe to assume he had some sovereign citizen tendencies
-snip- fuck it
High five? IDK about that, it probably traumatized the people in there including the officers
As oppose to letting a man with a knife run amok not traumatizing people...?
High five? IDK about that, it probably traumatized the people in there including the officers
Oh my God. Cops put him down because he was threatening their lives with a knife. I think they were thinking of going home at the end of the day to their families when this happened. Cops are trained for this shit.
Yeah no, don't fucking group us all into this group. Some of us sovereign citizens just want the ability to live our life the way we want to. We don't fuck with other people either.
That's good and all but even the benign parts of the Sovereign Citizen Movement are just completely false.
Yeah no, don't fucking group us all into this group. Some sovereign citizens just want the ability to live our life the way we want to. We don't fuck with other people either.
Yeah, I shouldn't have to follow any laws either. I mean, who is the man to tell me how to live my life?
High five? IDK about that, it probably traumatized the people in there including the officers
Holy shit haha man up dude.
Amazing how nobody bothered to help this guy we suck as a society for letting this happen.
Amazing how nobody bothered to help this guy we suck as a society for letting this happen.
I fully believe that we are responsible for all of our monsters and that we are always at fault for not providing the means to get help or encouraging people to get help.
Yeah no, don't fucking group us all into this group. Some sovereign citizens just want the ability to live our life the way we want to. We don't fuck with other people either.
I bet you still want the police and fire department to help you when you're in trouble, right?
Yeah no, don't fucking group us all into this group. Some sovereign citizens just want the ability to live our life the way we want to. We don't fuck with other people either.
move to a different country with different set of laws then.
The great part of a democracy, is that you can get to change the laws by voting. Try voting in your local state representative elections and your governor next time you can. Saying "all those politicians are the same man they all suck" doesn't fix the system
I bet you still want the police and fire department to help you when you're in trouble, right?
Yeah I'm not touching that question with a 10 foot stick.
If they're dumbass laws (such as drug laws, prostitution laws, curfews) then no, nobody should have to follow them. You tell me there has to be order? What good is order if it doesn't discriminate against good or bad, but just goes by who has the most money?
you do know some of those mundane laws are there for actual protection right? there's drugs out there that shouldn't be out on the streets. I'm not talking about weed and shit, could care less about that, but there's stuff like spice and bath salts that fuck people up. and sometimes have effects that can make these people dangerous. yeah some laws can be dumb, but they have meaning. there has to be some form of order in society, having a society that has no police/ems/firefighters would lead to chaos.
move to a different country with different set of laws then.
Ahh, the ole "If you don't like America, geeet out".
Ahh, the ole "If you don't like America, geeet out".
But im British, I dont get this whole sovereign citizen malarky. If you cant negotiate with the law in a simple way then all your really doing is making it a much harder job for the law, therefore becoming a thorn in its way and also making it out to be a much bigger deal than what it is. Besides on topic, I'd think that he is fairly lucky he managed to get away with trespassing; I'm pretty sure he'd have a high chance of being shot there and then intruding on the White House's grounds.

Ehh, I'm getting too riled up over words. But yeah, I'm glad this douche got what he deserved.
Yeah I'm not touching that question with a 10 foot stick.
Oh I wonder why :v:
Yeah no, don't fucking group us all into this group. Some sovereign citizens just want the ability to live our life the way we want to. We don't fuck with other people either.
Oh god you being a sovereign citizen explains so much
Oh I wonder why :v:
Because it sounds really condescending. It automatically assumes I hate all cops and anything to do with the grid. [editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
Oh god you being a sovereign citizen explains so much
I'm not really, but people use it as a generic term as anyone who dislikes an aspect of the government.
Because it sounds really condescending. It automatically assumes I hate all cops and anything to do with the grid.
I think it's got more to do with you being hypocritical as fuck for denying authority except when said authority is helping you.
Well, a knife pretty much waives any chance of a fair trial happening. Especially when you're dead.
oh my god do we have a sovereign citizen here on Facepunch I can't tell if this is the worst or an absolute treat
High five? IDK about that, it probably traumatized the people in there including the officers
You dont really get traumatized by lokalt at someone pull a knife.
High five? IDK about that, it probably traumatized the people in there including the officers
Jesus you people are your traumitization nonsense. I swear in any thread where someone dies there's always some nerd saying "omg feel so bad for the PTSD they must be feeling...". It's like you do know that humans are VERY resilient creatures and aren't feeble minded creatures that can't stand to see somrthing bad happen around them.
