Police-involved shooting near my house - Suicide by cop - General

He really didn't want to shoot that guy. He was practically touching him before he shot.

That's awful. I work at an apartment complex where I also live, and the other day we had a shooting. Saw the guy himself get shot. 9mm to the face... his jaw was hanging off his face and he was holding it on with a towel. I sat there with him and he apologized for getting blood all over the concrete. Really nice guy. Then he just slumped over and he died... Seeing it happen in real life is so much different than seeing it in a video dude...

god, that cop's going to have a lot of trauma from this poor guy, definitely didn't need this on his plate. i don't blame him, the guy was faking an extremely aggressive stance. not sure why he chose suicide by cop.

Reisterstown is ~60 mins north of DC (NW of Baltimore). Probably some low life working for a dealer out on orders, or something.

We have a strict policy about talking to the media. I did talk to the family privately and gave them my condolences. It's just sad man. It was all over something small, and could've been dealt with without the use of violence. I could be wrong, but I think the guy was probably depressed and wanted to go out with a bang. I do wish there was more support so this wouldn't happen.
