Why do you ban people without giving them warnings. - General

Why do you always ban people without giving them warnings. You never give people chances, and even if they post in the wrong section by mistake, you ban them for a day, when you could simply lock the topic. Why don't you just give people chances and warn them first, then ban them. I'm not bitching, and I don't know if this is breaking rules, but please read this, not ban me.

Temporary bans are warnings. It just doesn't work if you give infractions, people don't care or notice, but they will notice when they're without access for a day. It's much more efficient.

The ban IS your warning. That's how things work around here.

In facepunch, temporary bans are the warnings and permabans are the normal bans.

When you post in a section, there is a thread with rules. That [b]IS[/b] your warning.

Usually it starts out with an hour unless you're purposefully breaking the rules, then it goes to a day, etc. An hour ban is just a warning, if you think not being on the forum for a whole 60 minutes is punishment then you should reexamine your life

I miss the old mods. I miss the old forums. I just want to have a "get back to the midle of 07" day, since that's the time period i found facepunch in.
