This guy is boss.
What's the point in destroying the laptop? He could've just sold it or whatever.

Maybe a little bit too harsh?
All I know that it'll be an interesting family dinner.
He probably felt better by shooting it.
I doubt he's too worried about money. It sounds like he's well off that he can hire a cleaning lady, that he has a guest bedroom and he dropped $130 into the laptop just because his Daughter asked. Since he's motivated enough to work two jobs in Highschool/College I can only image how much money he makes now. If that's his property, there is a lot of it and if he can afford exploding hollow points for his .45 than I'm pretty sure destroying a $300~ laptop to prove a point and prevent his Daughter from using it to disrespect him seems reasonable enough. He probably paid for it anyway.

Boss Dad 2012
Good!
Though I think it may be harsh, it sounds like he needed to get a point across, and that did the trick.
The dad and the daughter are both idiots.
I like his stuttering. It is quite interesting.
The dad and the daughter are both idiots.
He's walking the line on strictness, but i find it fair. Imagine you feeding, clothing and raising a kid and having her spew such bullshit on Facebook.
I like his stuttering. It is quite interesting.
Sounds like it stems from his frustration mixed with that NC accent
I think there could have been a better solution to this. Both the girl and father handled the situation pretty badly (in my opinion). The girl could have just told her parents what the problem was, and her parents would respect her for being direct and telling them that something was bothering her. Then they could have worked out something to make doing all those chores less of a hassle. Since the girl chose to post it on Facebook, her dad could have confronted her about it and worked something out, because the last thing you want to do is make an angry person even angrier.

Oh god, the comments are filled with idiots. Too many people who have their minds set on one thing, either saying how the father is an asshole for punishing her daughter like that, or some other person saying what an ungrateful 15 year old and her father is awesome for punishing her like that. When can people pull their head out of their ass and use their brains to think about a decent solution that makes both sides happy?
What a bossman.
If my dad shot my computer I would sure hell be pissed at him for years....
Your computer, or the one your dad bought? The point in this video was that he had bought her the laptop, and spent a decent sum upgrading it. It's a bit harsh, but nothing wrong with him destroying it. If she had bought it with her own money it would've been something different though.
i have the same chair as this guy in my backyard WOOP
This man just fucking owned his kid. This video was amazing.
If my dad shot my computer I would sure hell be pissed at him for years....
if my dad shot my build that i had worked my ass off for i'd be pretty pissed if he shot his own laptop that he bought with his own money but gave to me? well

When i grew up if i got a smack or something taken off me.. i never did it again. I guess some kids just understand respect and some don't
Yeah, this seems about the same response that I would get from my dad after I would do that kind of shit.
I don't think we know enough about the context to make any kind of judgement, for all we know the father has tried "sitting down with her and talking" a hundred times and she won't listen
He said in the video he has been grounding her and taking away the computer and cellphone. That still isn't making any effort to work out a solution. He needs to ask her what the problem is, not continue to punish her like that.

(Not saying my brother and sister are the template for teenagers)
