This "news" has been brought to you by Nikota. Spreading the filthy lies of the Liberal media since you were born.
[release]Apparently “Romneying” — defined as “accidentally bragging about your place high up in the economic stratosphere” — runs in the family.
His wife, Ann Romney, inexplicably talked about her wealth this afternoon during an interview on Fox News. “We can be poor in spirit, and I don’t even consider myself wealthy, which is an interesting thing, it can be here today and gone tomorrow,” she said. Watch it:

The couple made $20.9 million last year, making more in a day than an average American makes in a year, and are worth about $250 million overall.
From discussing his NASCAR team-owning friends, to saying he likes firing people, to bragging about Ann’s two Cadillacs, Mitt also has a problem with accidentally and inappropriately touting his enourmous wealth.[/release]
Nikota's back in his groove again, it seems.
And using valid sources.
Regardless of the source, it's quotes. Frankly it doesn't surprise me that this person would say this, many of that level of wealth live in a bubble.

No, "romney" as a verb means "to defecate in terror"

pshhh shes not THAT wealthy, she can only afford 500 yachts not 1000.
Come on guys, they're clearly poor.
No rich person would have their campaign manager.

She only has two Cadillacs.

Lets spend 250 million dollars in one day.
Feh, I'm way richer than her. I have a Burning Team Captain.

Hell, you've probably heard it in real life, from a boss or some guy sitting nearby at Starbucks. "I guess I'm considered rich now! Well, if I'm so 'rich,' why am I broke at the end of the month?!?" Uh, I think it's because your mortgage is $3,000 a month, since you live in a fucking palace. And because you took your family on that Disney cruise last summer. And because you pay for your kids' college, so that, unlike us, they won't be crushed under six figures of student loan debt at age 22. And because you eat all the best foods and drink the finest liquids.
Or, as Hamilton Nolan at Gawker put it, "'Sure, it's an objectively large sum of money,' they say. 'But it is far smaller after I spend it.'"

I have been talking to politicians in Sacramento for a class, and all of them complained about lower wages due to budget cuts.
They never specified how much they made, even whenwe asked them.
"so you know, we can poor in spirit. *hahahah*"
fuck you lady
Fuck you bitch
I hate reading about rich people being stupid. It is astounding how these stupid fucks can genereate so much profit
Bull motherfucking shit, that bitch could wipe her ass with fucking 100s. Poor in spirit, what a load of shit.
ugh ._.
In the video she actually goes on to say that she thinks friends and family is what really matters. But of coarse you dont hear that because the video is taken out of context on purpose. Another quality source from Nikota.
even though this is incredibly stupid to say, i'd like to hold out faith and think she said the wrong thing. it really seemed like she was going to say 'i don't consider my wealth as it can be gone tomorrow' instead of 'i don't consider myself wealthy'

When you hear the whole quote in context its clear of what she was trying to say.

Looks like I'm no longer following Think Progress. Third strike and all.

Well, it would feel similar to what they'd imagine a salary cut would be like. I mean, when you're raised with a 90% silver spoon in your mouth, it must feel odd to be forced to move onto a spoon that's only 50% silver.
It's all relative, really. A peice of meat that cost twenty bucks may taste good to you or I, but compared to the one that someone used to eat (which cost forty dollars), it may taste pretty shitty.
full quote:
"“I don’t even consider myself wealthy which is an interesting thing. It can be here today and gone tomorrow, and how I measure riches is by the friends* I have and the loved ones I have and the people I care about in my life and that is where my values are and those are my riches.”

Well that's dandy and all but her first sentence still manages to be incredibly douchey.

Well, taken with the rest of it, it sort of isn't. Unless there's an entire class of people that don't have friends.
[sub][sub]I could make a Facepunch joke here, but I'm not gonna.[/sub][/sub]
Reading about the ThinkProgress taking the video out of context, I am almost thinking we need a thread dedicated to sources: A list of verified trustworthy sources, and a list of verified unreliable sources. If a source is from neither list, it's up in the air.
Maybe said thread could also give some tips and advice for sniffing through a site, its supporters and investors, its parent companies, and all of that jazz to help determine how reliable and biased a source is.
I think that could be really useful for this section. Would cut down on the misinformation and sensationalism a bit, I imagine.
What do you guys all think?
Hmmm, in terms of spirit they're probably paupers, even if they have a hoard of gold.
Speaking of hoard of gold, being the 1% kinda makes them like the bad kind of dragon, not the cool kind that flys around and breathes fire. Then again, does Rick Santorum travel by plane?
"We're just like all of you horrible poor people!"
rot in hell, hate those people

In the first sentence of the "full quote" she said she doesn't consider herself wealthy. I don't see why you're mentioning anything about friends. So yeah you could make a Facepunch joke, but it'd be entirely irrelevant.
Unless she's saying she doesn't have many friends
That's nice, well I don't consider you human.
