UKIP's ruling national executive committee (NEC) has unanimously backed a vote of no confidence in party leader Henry Bolton.
Mr Bolton has faced repeated calls to quit over offensive texts sent by his former girlfriend.
But he has said he will defy the committee and continue as leader.
There will now be an emergency meeting of UKIP members in the next 28 days to vote on whether to remove Bolton as leader - unless he resigns before then, which he says he won't
If he's removed, UKIP will then hold their fourth leadership election since the EU referendum.
And the next leader will walk on stage, say something horribly racist, immediately get sacked and it'll continue until there's only one UKIP member who will be forced to sack themselves when they blame Muslims for this turn of events.
Yeah, it's weird to remove him as leader for dating a racist when the vast majority of their members are racist themselves. Must be a massive elephant in the room in their meetings.
It can't even be to save public face because everyone that's not in UKIP hates them already.
Watch as Farage comes back again like the goblin he is
Wow I only just learned this had happened but it's a shame that UKIP waited until after they were relevant to ditch their Poundland logo and get an actually decent one

There's just something ironic about UKIP where they keep insisting they're "Not racist" and this happens... on more than one occasion also involving casual (and sometimes more on the nose) racism...
It's kinda funny how ever since the Brexit referendum, the actual Brexit party has gone downhill to the point of near-irrelevance.

Well they got what they wanted. Now they can't just sit talking about how badly they hate the EU and actually need to function as a political party. Which is kind of difficult when you also happen to be a big magnet for racists and morons.

UKIP has always been irrelevant in the grand scheme of UK politics. They only became remotely relevant because the Tories feared losing voters to them and so held the referendum.
They've held barely any seats, and even then they've never held them consistently enough to really be truthfully scared of them taking meaninful control of anything. They only really became a problem when we decided, for some reason, that Farage needed to be an MEP. Who then promptly didn't do his job and just spent his time grandstanding at EU conferences about how awful the EU was whilst everyone there rightfully ignored him.
UKIP died the day Cameron promised a referendum, and then put in the ground after winning that referendum. It's pretty directionless currently, built for one purpose, and that purpose is fulfilled.
UKIP is now in open civil war. Bolton has refused to quit, attacked the NEC and unironically used the phrase "drain the swamp" to call for a new party constitution that would remove them from power. Half of his leadership team have resigned in protest

This is where the self-destruction of UKIP begins. I can't see UKIP continuing as a competitive party until the end of the year at this rate.
