Sounds really good so far. I'll wait 1-2 years before I buy this as there aren't that many games right now and hopefully the price will drop at that point.
Yeah. i'm getting one but it is a hard sell if you only want to get it for Zelda, and you have a Wii U already. Glad it's being real positive all around.
I hope there'll be a holiday bundle akin to the Smash+Splatoon bundle.

Maybe not third party AAA stuff, but you will have new Zelda, Mario, and new-ish Splatoon and Mario Kart. If Wii U had all that in its first year maybe it would last longer.
The extra £65 for that controller, which I consider absolutely essential, is going to force me to hold off on this. £300 is pushing it because money isn't abundant for me, but no games bundled and an extra £65 for the controller which I'd use when docked puts the console's price up to something more like £400+ which I just cannot do.
Played Zelda and it's phenomenal. Potentially the first console I'll buy solely for 1 game.

I'm getting one on friday but I hope Nintendo will offer a stronger battery to replace in this year.
Even if I was interested in the Switch, the fact that the battery is non removable is hilariously bad. One of my ps3 controllers died after being left without a charge for too long and that thing cost $60. Imagine the battery going to shit in your several hundred dollar console. Sure you can use it in the docked mode but then you would lose one of the primary selling point which is portability.

The Joycons in the grip look weird as hell but by my own experience they're still quite comfortable. They also are quite comfortable when not even in a grip at all, it feels like two small wiimotes basically. No idea what that entails tho. The battery itself is easily removeable since it isn't soldered, so if you wanna get in there you can do it yourself pretty easily. However i can see why nintendo wouldn't want to make it external because the thing is fuckin huge: [t]http://images.nintendolife.com/news/2017/02/nintendo_switch_teardown_images_pop_up_online/attachment/1/original.jpg[/t] that whole black part, soft covering and all, is the battery. Battery technology has improved quite a bit since the Sixaxis came out, and with this being the actual console itself, I'm sure the battery is somewhat robust. After a good few years it's still going to degrade, but by that point I'm sure people will have worked out how to repair that.

As always I want a regular controller, fuck I'd plug in my 360 pad if I could Also multiplayer. Also sync issues have been discussed. I'll hold out but tbh I think I'll be considering the pro controller essential, just like I did with the WiiU.
Something about the kickstand really piques my interest. You can tell whoever thought of that incarnation really wanted to push that artsy-tech style. If they could find a way to make it spaghetti thin they would have too. I mean why not just make it a tad wider piece of plastic and put it in the middle, or just duplicate it on the other side? It really confuses me.
I was gonna get a Switch at launch but I'm gonna hold out until it has a few more games on it. Breath of the Wild is coming out for Wii U so that'll be a good way to farewell my dusty underused console.
Apparently the left Joycon sync issue is resolved with the day one patch. [editline]2nd March 2017[/editline] Or maybe not. Conflicting reports on whether it's fixed or not.
