You know, a mans skirt.

Though that is more known as a "Utilikilt". As in, it's not the tratiniolan type of Kilt.
This is the traditional model worn by Sean Connery

You see these mostly in Ireland or Scotland, because it's a traditional outfit over there.
So why I want to buy one? Well, simply because I think they are awesome. I've personally worn one before and it was surprisingly comfortable! Especially on a hot summer day. The time of sweaty balls and uncomfortable pants.
So anyone outside Ireland or Scotland ever ordered one through internet? If you did, could you tell me where?
I believe Gurant has one, so he might know where to get one. Hope he drops by.
You'll have to live with people yelling MANGIRL at you if you wear such a thing..
Especially if you live outside of the kingdom,
And get a monocle and tophat. Then you will be one FLASHY FASHIONABLE MAN.
You will never be Sean Connery. You will just be that douchebag with a kilt.
Really bad idea dude. Get loose shorts or something.

Well I don't see that happening too often. I've seen them before quite a few times. Especially in festivals.
Though I don't really give a damn, because those people don't really think further than "Man + skirt looking thing = gay as hell".
These people don't understand that even in their wardrobe there are skirt like outfits. Your morning robe isn't far from a normal dress. On the beach, gym or at the swimming centre, men tie a towel around their waist. Another resemblance.
People are dumb, there's nothing new about that.
fyi kilts were made so that when the scots were leaping over the hills, the enemy would see their genitalia and be intimidated by it.
so if you want to be a real man don't wear underwear with it.

It would really lose the looseness if you wear undies under it.
Wear military boots, grow long hair and mustache (with optional beard), pump up your muscles and THEN start wearing a kilt. You'll be manly and respected.
Other optional: a broadsword.
Those are skirts, not kilts,

Is a kilt.

I have all that except long hair and a moustache. ಠ_ಠ
I thought Tea created this thread when I first saw the name.
People who wear kilts but aren't Scottish or of close Scottish decent look retarded. Even Scottish people only usually wear them at weddings and stuff.

Well there are many saunas around the world that a finn wouldn't even recognise to be a sauna.
It's a fashion choice these days.
And I don't think you can tell from someones face if he's Scottish or of a close Scottish decent.
Gurant has a kilt eh? Then again, he wears wermacht gear and has a blowup doll.
I really doubt you're as...odd, as gurant.

No. The kilt is a part of his outfit.
A kilt covers the body from the waist down to the centre of the knees.
I own a kilt. Two infact. They're quite comfy. I'd say go with the brand Sportkilt, you get the most bang for yer buck. The utilitikilit just doesn't compare to it, not to mention they don't have tartans.
It would really lose the looseness if you wear undies under it.
Not true. Wearing underwear doesn't make it any less loose. Well it does, but not so noticeably.
You a fag.
I've seen them around here a few times. Hell, I know a guy who swears by kilts, and you do not want to call him a fag.
proper kilts are pretty expensive you know
Get this, and some combat boots, people will be scared to fuck with you

Or they'll just think to themselves "I feel sorry for that pathetic kid over there who has to dress like a freak just to get attention. I bet he must be really lonely and scared inside."

only a few people actually dress like that to get attention, a vast majority just like the style.
I got a kilt because my school forbids wearing shorts during the summer. People actually think it's awesome.
You'll have to live with people yelling MANGIRL at you if you wear such a thing..

pretty much this, unless you are an adult and look like a native.
I can't really grasp why people think it makes you a fag if you wear a kilt. Men have been wearing skirts since the start of time. All clothes have been primarely made for men in the early days. Women were just machines that would pop out a kid or two, they didn't need clothes.
Hell, even the first pair of bras were designed for a man. That man was Ludvig XIV, because he was fat.
Also, as Fps_Deffy stated, quite a few people wear a kilt just for the sake of attention.
I've asked my male friends what they think about people wearing kilts and most of them said that they admire them, because they have balls to do that. Some even said that they would love to wear one, but they're afraid to.
I think it's dispicable that someone get's shit thrown at him just for the fact that he uses different type of clothes than the majority.
I agree, wear what you want. fuck what anyone one else says, it's your life. Choose what you want to do it with. If you want to wear a kilt go for it.
i bought one before and it was awesome very breezy if ya get what i mean
Kilts are very expensive. You're looking at £200-£300 pounds for a proper one
