can you make music? are you good at it? well guess what? most of us are! and even if you're not good at it, who cares? we'll make you good at it! the musical producers of dd are making a collab. it includes most genres; me (and others eg soupman and anyone else) will cover the rap side of things while you are welcome to introduce whatever you're good at. you're good at making thug g-funk beats? coolio, we'll put it in the collab. you make slow progressive rock? it sounds good? great, it's in. you make whatever the genre mrjazzy's music is? great, we'll include that too. the point is, there's no set genre. the only requirement is it has to sound good. "oh but tcbizzle "good" is subjective". yes it is, which only increases your chances of it being included. i don't care if i don't like it, if someone does then chances are it'll be included. don't throw together random shit as a joke and expect to be involved in the collab. if it's something someone can toke to, it's gonna be in. if it's something someone can bounce to, it's in. simply post in this thread (with an example of your work) if you want to take part. we're not going to be super serious about this, it's just for fun so treat it that way. add me on steam if you're really desperate or whatever. this isn't my project. this is dd's project. [sp]i'll fix this up when i'm not superdurnk[/sp]
anyone got beats i can rap over and make sound like garbage? i promise you will be disapponited
Same Cept I have no fuckin idea if my voice would sound good. I have a decent flow. But yeah you probs will be disappointed [editline]13th September 2013[/editline] How does this work for lyrical people. Do we just steal songs, dub our shit over and repost giving credit to the beat maker? [editline]13th September 2013[/editline] Cause I think there needs to be one song we all have some part in
Yea we need to come up with some way to organize this haha,
Already I'm starting to feel like this is gonna be work... Not a good sign. Especially in this section.
Already I'm starting to feel like this is gonna be work... Not a good sign. Especially in this section.
Yea it will be a little bit of work, but over time I think it'll add up to something.
I guess I'll get GarageBand for this stupidPad. I can make pretty wicked beats too. Creatively I'm a dynamo. And there are a lot of people like that too here. If we just manage to simply upload the shit we make, something could be made out of it.
Welp I produce in ableton so maybe I'll join in
I play rhythm guitar if someone wants a guitar part done
I got musical ability, but I can't use any software for it worth shit and I don't own a drum kit so the best you'd be able to get outta me is some bad sounding guitar work. Drums my special. Good luck though.
i'm going to make a song
Remember that this is a collaboration guys, that doesn't mean everybody makes their own song - that means people can work together to make a song. I'd love to make a song with someone who can rap. [editline]14th September 2013[/editline] First of all guys, let's decide upon a loose theme or a topic. My suggestion is High, simple and very interpretable.
we should all go in the fp dd group chat to discuss it
What about setting up our own "cloud" I think the correct term would be. Essentially like a really flexible drop box. I dunno if I can even upload things from le stupidPad or if ill have to use someone's computer. Basically a link in the op to a place where you can download and upload anything. Just have to categorize content. I think if it was like this we'd cat content based upon how many times the clip has been reworked. [editline]14th September 2013[/editline] Or everyone simply has their own folder and files are tagged by anyone who handles them then reuploads them. The original, still exists in the creators folder. The guy who reworked it now has their tuned version of the tune in their folder as well [editline]14th September 2013[/editline] How am I even thinking I haven't even woken up yet Ass has not left sheets
i'm thinking we use dropbox while working on it then when it's done we put it on bandcamp. we just need to work out whos doing what with who.
^ Sounds like the best idea. Also, quit trying to get everyone to use the group chat, I'm never on steam faggot.
How can you never be on steam D:
I've got two computers, one that steam is always signed into because I pretty much only game on it, another that I use for everything else since it's more convenient. The thing is tho, I don't play video games like, at all any more so I'm never on my computer with steam.
does anyone have fl studio because if so i will work with you on a song
does anyone have fl studio because if so i will work with you on a song
i do
i make all my shit in fls
what genre is preferred I'll start making a template .flp when I'm bored
Most people here seem to use FL, which is great cause it'll be easy to work together.
i want use to do a wide range of things. i'd love something like this i don't want it to all be rap and trippy shit, it needs some proper chill stuff
Working on some different ideas and stuff, we'll see what eventually comes out.
I can do lead guitar, looking more into atmospheric rock genre...
plug-ins that are really great if you like having lots of different sounding synths (not just dance/rave type): nexus z3ta+ [editline]15th September 2013[/editline] i tend to use a lot of those in my songs so if you haven't got either one then it might be worth downloading because they're super cool

nexus if you want to use premade synths with variations sylenth1 z3ta+ massive fm8 basically all you need, I mean you can make any sound ever with any synth just depends on how you're using it, those just seem to be the main things right now that everyone is using. how you process them is a lot more important though.
Do you guys want me to do lyrics and such for the beats you create?
