Ok, in about 2 weeks I will have a practical cooking test and I've chosen to write my own recipe for better mark.
We must cook with chicken and I am wondering what i should use in my marinade.
I have written this so far:
Soy
Half a lemmon
1-2 teaspoons sambal oelek
1 garlic clove
Oliv oil
I am still wondering on the rest of the recipe, I know I will make skewers with half tomatoes and half onions. To that I will also have some jasmine rice and a small salad.
My only question is, should I skip the garlic in the marinade? I will not only cook for myself but for also for a girl in class and I don't know if girls generally likes garlic or not.
Feel free to give tips if I should add or remove anything.
Sound delicious, I wouldn't skip the garlic though.
Garlic can give a great taste to a dish and if I'm not mistaken sambal oelek also contains garlic, well most sambals do.
And if the girl likes to make food I think she'll probably won't mind the garlic.
Chopped fresh ginger sounds like it would be a delightful touch, consider using straight chilli flakes rather than a processed condiment for a purer flavour
