I take back what I said, skyrim hd looks great
Kratos looks pretty weird with that beard.
Definitely the best introduction to a conference so far this year.
I take back what I said, skyrim hd looks great
come on, it doesnt even look bad. Skyrim could wish for animations like this
AAAAAAA My hype level cannot be contained. Norse gods best gods.
Combat looks fun. Also cant wait for Kratos to kill the whole Norse pantheon in horrible ways out of angsty rage.
this game looks fucking fantastic wow i didn't even realize it was kratos till like halfway through
Is that actually still Kratos? So is this set after GoW 3 or what? Even still looks stunning. Also was that a giant fucking snake at the end in the valley? Looked like scales to me, maybe jormungandr or something?
So where does this even come from in the continuity, i was under the impression that at the ending of 3 he was dead.
So where does this even come from in the continuity, i was under the impression that at the ending of 3 he was dead.
There's very little known from this trailer alone, my suggestions are: - He survived after you know what in God of War 3, and was treated back to health by whoever new his wife is. - This is a reboot that completely disregards all the God of War games thus far. I'm leaning towards the latter more because of the title and the different gameplay style, though it's confusing because he seems a lot older and tired out.
Well I'm hyped as fuck for PS4 exclusives! The perspective is a bit like Dark Souls, though my guess is that it'll still be hack-and-slash just with a new angle. This looks like a sequel. The land shown at the end looks like Olympus after it was flooded when Kratos killed Poseidon. I guess the reason for the Norse creatures is due to all of the Greek gods killed and with Greece apparently destroyed, Nordic tribes claimed what was left of the land and Kratos reincarnated as one of them since the Gods of Olympus are gone. But Aphrodite is still alive! Kratos never killed her, even her handmaidens are alive so that's confusing.
I think there doing a soft reboot of the series. Either way holy fuck it looks good
Nice use of the fucking Godzilla 1998 roar at the end :v: pruuf Why do I have an ear for these things
The devs say its nord mythology now
The devs say its nord mythology now
I wonder if we have to fight Jörmungandr
Definitely a complete reboot of the series. Definitely looks fun, but I'm still uneasy this being a "God of War" game, since God of War was always a "greek mythology hack'n'slash" series to me.
The devs say its nord mythology now
The troll mentioned Valhalla and the game title logo had futhark runes, it was pretty clearly going Norse.

Kratos lives on to a whole 'nother generation of the world, judging by the fact that he has the wound from the end of 3 all patched up, to kill more beasts and gods of a different age.
this seems like a "smarter" God of war, which I'm all for.
I'm curious about the "knowledge gained" messages. I guess you'll have skill trees you can improve.
The Last of Us 2: Gods Among Us.

Not sure what to make of this reboot though. It's cinematic and pretty, but this demonstration is stupidly linear and the combat is a lot more generic than classic GoW.
I think its a soft reboot where Kratos is something of a relic from an old world which was reborn after the events of GoW 3 Like theirs some hints at his past with the chest scar and the greek omega symbol on his back
I have a feeling its just going to be a retelling sort of deal. Like Kratos isn't a specfic person but rather an idea? So that he can be im all mythology?

Because the old GoW style essentially became the quintessential formula that everyone copied for action games.
tbh I like how this looks quite a bit
I don't think that's Kratos. Or at least the Kratos we know. Maybe a Reincarnation of him?
I don't think that's Kratos. Or at least the Kratos we know. Maybe a Reincarnation of him?
Yeah I'm thinking they're pulling a Zelda and it's an incarnation of Kratos. [editline]14th June 2016[/editline] Dat rockin beard tho
I think Norse Mythology is perfect for God of War 4. In Norse Mythology there is an apocalypse called Ragnarok. During Ragnarok, the gods were fated to die. Many of the higher gods would go to war and die in battle with the greatest creatures of the mythology. Fenrir breaks free from his chains and devours the entire world. I can't wait to fucking see that in this game.
