Just a collection of some of my favorite rides from mainly Universal Studios,I'm a park geek and I love this sort of stuff. Hopefully you guys will appreciate some of these too. The Incredible Hulk - Islands Of Adventure Jurassic Park - Universal Studios Orlando Revenge of the mummy (Night Vision Version) - Universal Studios The Simpsons Ride - Universal Studios Jaws - Universal Studios (Last Day Ride) Test Track - Disney's Epcot
Test track looks boring as hell
Test track looks boring as hell
the video doesn't convey what you feel during the ride, the high speed part at then end is really cool to experience
Hold that phone, this thread needs more TOGO. Oh and here's the worst steel rollercoaster in the world 2012: How can you enjoy a ride if it doesn't inflict pain?
Test track looks boring as hell
It was kind of the thing when the test dummy characters were popular. Also it's more of a sensory thing. With the heat lamps, chilled room, flashing lights, not as much a regular coaster.
Test track looks boring as hell
It was fun at the time for the pretend test factor. But that ride taught me what ABS breaks were. The new Test Track is really neat. While you're waiting in line, part of the queue is designing your own car with your buddies (and it's really damn customizable). When you're riding the ride, the ride does still bring you through a series of tests, but it's put up on a scoreboard with your custom vehicle right there after each test. The ride ends with the familiar speed test, where they go fast as hell and your lips are going "blublublublub" from the sheer force of the air and everything is amazing and oh god I wanna go again I wanna go again
That Jaws ride was the shit when I was a kid.
Test track looks boring as hell
I wasn't sure whether to post that one or not,but I will say the video makes it look boring but the ride is fucking kickass!
Test track looks boring as hell
I rode it a few years ago. It's actually fun as hell. Don't go on it, comparing it to Nitro or King da Ka from Six Flags. Just expect an interesting experience, and to go really fast.
Those turns at the beginning are really hard. You've got to learn to anticipate them and lean accordingly or you're gonna hurt.
Living in Florida I have have been in almost all of the rides mentioned in this thread. The Hulk was my first roller coaster, and I have loved them ever sense.
Test track looks boring as hell
POV videos for rollercoasters will always look a lot slower than they are in reality just due to the nature of how it's being filmed. test track is fun as shit, especially the last section that flings you around the huge banked corner that everyone can see from the queue [editline]19th October 2014[/editline]
Those turns at the beginning are really hard. I feel like I got the full experience and don't feel like going to Universal Studios theme park. Is this what piracy feels like?
I think The Hulk is my favourite coaster, its not the fastest or the most intense but i think its because it was the first real roller coaster i went on. Oblivion and Nemesis at Alton Towers are also up there. Also Expedition Everest for the atmosphere.
"Put your camera down first row" heh The Hulk helped me break out of my fear of rollercoasters.
Oblivion at Alton Towers is ridiculously simple and short but so fun
Also, fuck this thing! Its like seven minutes long, the longest in Europe and has to the most uncomfortable fucking thing in the universe. Knees bashing against the restraining bar, knocking noggins with he poor fucker next to you. Fuck! It also decapitates woodland critters. holy FUCK. how old are these videos?? test track is a completely different ride now. And Jaws is now The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

We all got to go on all the major coasters, first thing. When we got onto Expediton Everest, it got stuck at the very top of the mountain. One of the songs in my group's repitoire was Ain't No Mountain High Enough... Guess what we started singing. :v:
the video doesn't convey what you feel during the ride, the high speed part at then end is really cool to experience
The video also doesn't convey how slow that feels compared to any decent coaster.
Damn, I remember the simpsons, jurassic park and the jaws rides when I went to Universal years ago. So cool to see them again.

The drop doesn't look like much but its 95 degrees. Fun twisty coaster. Pretty cool local coaster that was themed Superman but is now themed Bizzaro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizarro). Its got some cool onboard audio that sets the theme but was better as Superman. And the first Giga coaster with one of the largest conventional drops on a steel coaster.
What really makes this is the Aerosmith music blasting the whole ride. Plus all the visuals with things lighting up as you pass is cool. Skip to 6:00 if u just want to see the ride itself.

The Jurassic park ride is like a massive shot of nostalgia for me, I used to live in Florida when I was younger, we went to the park once or twice a year. Still get excited at the theme sound now :D
You went to Universal? Good, you went to the best theme park. Islands of Adventure is literally my all time favorite. I'd go there right now if I had the money. The Jurassic Park water ride in particular is one that I make sure to do every single time, it never gets old. The video does not truly convey the drop at the end. Although never go the the Dudley Do-Right log flume right. I went on it once when I was about 16, the thing nearly threw me out of the car. So no, fuck that. Everything else in Islands of Adventure is great though.
That Mummy ride is really different from the one actually at Universal. The whole beginning section is different so I'm not sure if they have another Mummy ride somewhere else or my memory is shit.

I went when I was like 10, and there was a way bigger escalate and drop. You would go up, he would say something spoopy, and then you fucking SHOT UP AND WENT AT LIKE THE SPEED OF LIGHT and that shit was fucking insane
