Not exactly. He and his mother urgently need money and e-begging is one of his only sources of income (or it would be if he knew how to manage his money) as he refuses to look for a job. He doesn't want to be trolled, but he welcomes other forms of attention.

I'm pretty sure that even if he wanted a job, he wouldn't be able to find a person who is willing to employ him at this point. Especially considering that iirc last time he had a job it went about as well as you'd expect.
I would agree with all the people feeling sorry for him if he wasn't so dim.
You can only sympathize with someone so much until they think their in good with a celebrity, that their rancid taint piercing is them growing a vagina, and that pepper spraying a gamestop employee over sonics arms being blue is a good idea

On the surface level it looks like that, but people do actually try to help him from making bad life choices now and he tells them to fuck off or begs for money from them.
I am not going to link it, but the "Un-clit" saga on his wiki just shows kind of how depraved his situation really is despite people trying to help him.

I genuinely thought that saga could turn out to be the death of Chris Chan in a matter of weeks, if not days. I never looked at the pictures but people made it sound like it was a pretty severe life-threatening infection that might have been past the point of adequate medical help

I would say that too, but this all could have been avoided if his parents weren't such morons and actualy tried to get him the help he needed in the first place.
Considering the point of the interview is obviously just "haha! lets all point and laugh at Chris Chan!", I thought Chris handled the interview fairly well. Regardless of Chris' life choices or circumstances, I'm gonna call out a shitty interviewer when I see one. And this is almost as shitty as you can get.

it's always been that sort of "haha look at this loser" type of "humor" when it came to chris chan. the guy obviously had issues in whatever the first video was, and the constant enabling the internet did to fuel his behaviors just led to where he's at now.

I'm pretty sure his first video was just a really awkward self-introduction that he made after discovering his ED article and getting confused (unless you're talking about the stuff that wasn't even made for youtube). His main draw in the beginning were his comics (which were still ongoing at that point), his love quest, and his feud with ED. I don't think anyone started intentionally doing things to him until Clyde Cash showed up.
