And the new star of Two and a Half Men is… Ashton Kutcher. The Hollywood Reporter says the actor is "putting the final touches" on a deal that will have him replacing the fired Charlie Sheen in the series, which is TV's number one comedy. Specifics of his deal aren't known, but the Reporter says Kutcher is getting a "huge payday" for the series.
CBS was working hard to line up a new star for the series before their Upfront presentation next week, when they announce their full 2011-2012 lineup. Hugh Grant came close to signing on, but that deal fell through several days ago. The Reporter says that after talks with Grant broke down, Kutcher's deal came together quickly.
Punk'd?
I have but one response:
Haha, what the fuck.
I smell a flop rising...
But he will forever be seen as Kelso from That 70's Show.
Aaaaaaannnnnndddddd the show only lasts for two more seasons.
Ashton has a lot of potential for both TV and Movies.
His character will get younger by around 15-20 years? This will be so terrible and funny at the same time.
So now instead of two and a half men, it will just be two men.

That's quite a generous estimate. I bet it won't make it for two more.
This has to be fake.
We're getting punk'd.
Just cancel it now. It had a long run.
Welp, this show is fuck'd.
The show has half a season left.
Fucking awesome.
Kelso in this show are you kidding this is going to be nuts

"I got in a car accident and had to get surgery"
He actually looks slightly similar.
Just younger.
How can they fit that into the plot
Hey Alan you've been bunking off me for ten years but little did you know I built a time machine so I could go back to when I was ten years younger and tell you to get out of my house!
But I actually do think I'll watch this and see how it goes.

Two and a Half Men has a plot?
Oh, no...
I don't see him fitting for the show, at all.
lmao
ashton kutcher is an abysmally bad actor
Ashton has a lot of potential for both TV and Movies.
Yeah because when you think about how his character was on That 70s Show, he could fit the part
ITT: nobody realizes they won't try to introduce Ashton Kutcher as Charlie Sheen's character but as an entirely new one that is meant to fill the void left by Charlie's absence

That is the first thing I thought, sadly.
I never saw the appeal in Two and a Half Men. I suppose it will suck even more now

I just hope they put a "RIP Charlie" at the beggining of the first episode.
His humour is much of 'laugh at how bad I am at making jokes', like Steve Martin in a way
I thought the show died after Charlie left

It did, this is a zombie.
This will not work
