How come they successfully filed for a Half Life logo trademark in July, with exactly the same representatives? I mean shouldn't this tell you that they actually plan to do something with the Half Life logo in the next few years?

I wouldn't mind Portal 3 even if this was fake. Not hyped anymore about Half-Life. Even if they did release Half-Life 3 it'll never live up to all of the hype it has generated over the years.

Frauds/fakes aren't stored in the "denied trademarks" since they weren't even valid in the first place and were just removed.

It was proven last time with the fake WoW trademarks of which the ones removed in bad faith didn't show up in any denied trademarks listing, they were just obliterated.

Half-Life has always been a series where the story exists to serve the mechanics and gameplay. There has to be new additions, not just the same shit rehashed over a new plot.

I'm not trying to single you out here, but I have to say that I'm tired of these same two things coming up in all Half-Life threads:
1. Whether it's called Half-Life 3 or Half-Life 2: Episode 3
and 2. That it can't live up to all of the "hype"

It's the same thing every time. I know there's nothing else to talk about in Half-Life threads (like, literally nothing else), but it's getting pretty old. I would also like to argue that nobody's really sitting around getting hyped for a game that they haven't heard a single thing about for six years. Everybody's just kind of idly waiting for something [I]to[/I] get hyped about in the first place, quietly cursing Valve the entire time.
