So I'm starting a computer / PC repair business as a side job. Basically just performing simple tasks that the general public seem to have a hard time doing. I'll be cracking open the system, cleaning it, replacing bad hardware, upgrading, 'optimizing' their system, and setting up back ups, system images, and the like. Simple stuff.
Anyways, I'm working on a flyer to put out on bulletin boards and lamp posts. Here's what I have so far:

Here's my inspiration:

I know I pretty much copied the inspirational layout, but I liked it a lot.
I really like it, yet I'm not sure if I'd have the Lian Li logo on the front.
I think it's much more cluttered that the inspirational one..
I think it looks great, and very professional too, nice job
Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely change the Lian Li logo. Anyways, glad to hear mainly positive feedback. Thanks! Time to work on a business card!
too noisy, not enough visual anchoring, the colors meld together into one giant bleh. not to mention most people will think it's not a flyer for what they want
make it have circuitry or some computery stuff so people will know its computer related and also make the text and information well placed and visually pleasing on the psoter
if someone sees that while walking past they are going to ignore it because it is too much to look at

The big "PC REPAIR" at the top and the two computers let people know that it's 'computer related'.
Although, I agree with the rest of your post.
Progress?

For the 'Find Us On Facebook' part you should probably replace that text with the profile page's URL, as most people who use Facebook recognize the logo. I would also change the top where it says 'PC REPAIR' to something like 'MGLASS PC REPAIR' to be less generic. Other than that, the blue+black scheme is really nice, I would give it a call if I wasn't already running my own PC repair business as well. :v:

Both good ideas. I'm waiting for some of my friends to join the facebook page once I make it. After 25 people like the page, you can add your own URL.
Also, I will add my name, it will probably be smaller than the PC REPAIR portion though.
Will the actual flyer be printed on a normal sheet of paper? If so, consider moving the top ribbon up higher to make room for bigger text below, and center the text directly beneath it.
I'm also implementing a QR code that can go in the corner in case people have smart phones on them.

I tried adding the QR code, looks like shit in order for it to be readable, at least on the screen. Plus, I'm sure if you can't figure out how to fix your computer, then you can't figure out how to use your smartphone to scan a QR code. Wrong audience.

Anyone who knows how to read a QR code knows how to fix a pc.
^Not always true, at all. You see QR codes in fashion magazines. I'm pretty sure most of them aren't computer technicians.
Also, the QR code would fit fine and be perfectly readable if you were working in 300dpi.

I am working in 300dpi, the version I have posted here is in 72dpi format.

That looks nice, but move the white list of services to the left. I'd consider altering the Facebook logo on the bottom to match the style of the phone and email logo, too. It looks really nice!

So when you put a 72dpi QR code on a 300dpi flier it should fit fine.
ur business may be good but ull never be as good as geek sqad
By the way are you going to be using the flyers to give out or to stick on places?

I already knew that? I'm just doing this on the side of my job as a cashier at a grocery store and University.

Either / or. Why, do they serve better as one or the other?
Final Draft I believe:

I like to think my craigslist ad is a bit more professional than that of other ads in my city.
