It was an already abandoned tank. And even if it wasn't, what a fucking idiot. The second time instead of running up to the tank from behind, and then to it's side to lob a second grenade in, he runs way out in front of where it's pointing and then towards it

The tank didn't fire. He put the grenade down the barrel and it blew up.

Ever heard of a SEMI-AUTO gun?
Guess what - some tanks are SEMI-AUTO too, with the shell ejecting, breech opening, and only requiring the crew to put in the next shell.
But there is no crew there, only a totally immobilised tank with live ammo inside. Which is what the 2nd grenade cooks off.
But yeah it fired, that must mean that it is manned. You get all your warfare knowledge from COD I guess.
