go SPURS wooooooooo
can see them making the finalz for sure.
Finals
Heat vs Spurs
Spurs in 6
I made a thread and its buriend somewhere.
Anyways, go Heat!
It's been a rough year as a Bulls fan, despite having the best record once again. Watching D Rose go down in the first game against the 76ers was just painful. I mean, they're such a solid team and Thibs is amazing, but I can't see them besting the solid, healthy teams.
It looks like it's the Heat's year to lose. They have all the pieces to finally get Lebron a ring.
Would still like to see OKC or the Spurs take it!

Hawks getting to the finals awwww yeahhhh.
Going to take some serious playing by the Hawks, but after game 1 against the Celtics, I think they've got a solid shot past the semi-finals..
The eff is up with the Mavs? How are they down 2-0 against OKC?

Yeah it's crazy.
Dirk and Jason Terry play out of their minds whenever they go against OKC, but it seems like it isn't enough for that team. Durant's poor shooting has even left them in the game with a big chance to capitalize, but they haven't been able to.
No one wins against father time. Also, its apparent that OKC is the better team at this point.

hehehehe....hawks going past the second round.... hehehehe....
Oh shit it's that time of year again! It always creeps up on me because I effectively don't watch almost any mid season games. I watch about the first month of games, then I wait for the Playoffs. I just think there are too many games to watch. That's my reasoning.
Go Celtics! Even though the team isn't looking superb.....that's the thing with Boston sports though. The teams, much like the weather, can be unpredictable.

a man can dream can't he?
Bulls fan here. Rose getting hurt again sucks, but I still believe this team has it in them to make a run to the eastern conf finals again... they'll probably face a huge wall in the heat, but you GOTTA BELIEVE
In CJ Watson and John Lucas III we trust.
Go Lakers
That is all, they will have another championship ring to add to their hands.

Except they'll never make it to the Heat because the Hawks are going to soar all the way there (oh god that was terrible).
Well actually, they lost pretty badly tonight. Paul Pierce was absolutely dominating us.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think C's will take care of this series :P I fear for Chicago next round when they must play them though...
I think the Bulls still hold the advantage over Miami with their bigs though, so who knows if hopefully they get that far they still have a chance..
[editline]2nd May 2012[/editline]
Of course this is really reliant on Luol Deng playing exceptionally well, which he did not tonight and resulted in a loss. You know somethings wrong when Joakim Noah was your leading scorer..
The only reason the Knicks are down 2-0 against the heat is because the coach won't let Mike Bibby get more minuets.
Fact.
White people watch basketball? Jesus Christ.
Btw, since we need something to discuss between games, Rondo's suspension?
I find it kinda bullshit. A fine would've sufficed even though that would be more applicable to his behavior during the incident. Maybe it's just me but his bump into the official didn't seem like it was on purpose.
Granted there was a trip that could have carried his momentum, but also you can see his chest voluntarily rise.
I love Rondo, just let the his emotions get the best of him.
Speaking of missing games, how about Amare? Punching the glass case of a fire extinguisher and now he's out for the next two games (in which NY is pretty much guaranteed to be eliminated). Without Shumpert or Stoudemire, they have even less chance to finally break that playoff loss streak.
clippers all the way baby! but the heat should take it this year. spurs look good, imo the best series is okc mavs. there wont be a more entertaining series this entire playoffs.

I wouldn't be so sure. Atlanta has a solid team (although we're missing Horford and Pachulia). But now with Rondo back (and not taking advantage of his suspension), the Hawks are facing an uphill battle.

I posted this somewhere else, but my opinion is that the ejection from the game was fair. The official had his back turned, and he had no way of realizing it was an accident. Contact is contact, and the official figured it was intentional.
As for the suspension, I think the NBA is taking a hardline attitude so as to deter any further contact. If they make exceptions, it'll lead to more contact (accidental or intentional). I don't think it's fair given the fact that he did trip, but I can understand why the NBA is standing by the suspension.
Suns didn't make it. Time to not look at this thread until next season.
Go Miami, I'm betting they'll win this time.
Miami and OKC are pretty much through now. I don't see NY coming back without Stoudemire and Dallas.....Dallas is just full of question marks right now.

Yep. Miami gets the easiest trip to the finals in years for sure. However, OKC has a very tough road ahead of them. They have to go through the Lakers in the next round, which is no easy feat. Then, they're up against either the Spurs, or Grizzlies in the Western Conference Finals, two teams that give them very big problems.
OKC has improved greatly over the last four years. Still remember going to the first home game.
Clippers looking strong tonight, can see them progressing next couple of rounds
--- I take it back already
Ok did anyone watch the Knicks, Heat game? Woah, what an intense fourth quarter. Melo with 40 points, and then what the fuck was up with Wade's final possession?
[editline]6th May 2012[/editline]
Now Hawks, Celtics. Oh boy here we go.

missed it unfortunately I had heat as part of my bet thinking they were dead certs, way to let me down :(
It'll be a sad way to end the year if the Bulls go down like this. But I guess that's how injuries work.
