Eh, that's a REALLY early alpha. Concept looks pretty cool though.
Looks about as exciting as the NES game But it's in alpha, so who knows.

I just like the entire concept behind the game, but I guess that's just because I actually enjoy the first few Friday the 13th films.
It is definitely early footage, and from reading they made Jason's abilities overpowered for the presentation and will rework some of it. Overall I look forward to how it comes along. I love 1 vs team style games.

I just get the feeling that this is gonna end up as another short-lived "party game" unless there's some other sorts of mechanics added.

He's so slow that even with teleporting, unless you're completely oblivious, you're not gonna run into him.
The game seems to be much more brutal than dead by daylight, and I'm glad to see that it should play a little differently. There is another 90s horror film themed multiplayer game called Last Year, strictly FPS afaik, I'm looking forward to it more than Friday the 13th honestly. http://www.lastyearthegame.com/
So my thoughts on the few games coming out. I like this trailer, him being able to teleport right in front of someone seems pretty OP, if it's on a cooldown just keep running and dodge whenever he teleports in front of you if he is really that slow. I do not see the goal in this game, is it a hide and seek game pretty much? I guess since it's very early alpha they haven't figured out what exactly they're going to do. I am interested as these types of games are pretty fun. Last year was the first one I heard about it, and I wanted to back it when it was first on kickstarter, but was not able to. I'll probably pick up both of those games as they probably do things very differently. Dead by Daylight comes out tomorrow and I've been having a blast with the beta and that's just one map and very little progression. I can't wait. I'm looking forward to the direction all three of these games go in the future.
i think what's great about this, dead by daylight and last year is that they're all doing what evolve did, but way better.
This game looks comfy as hell
There aren't enough multiplayer survival-horror games so this is a welcome addition. Only fun ones that I've played were all mods for Half Life like Zombie Panic and Brain Bread and stuff like that.
Its becoming a genre on its own and i think they just need to find their place on how to properly pull this off. This game should not be action at 100% all the time but also not become too boring, if it gets perfectly in the middle you would get a very tense and exciting game with some good scary vibes.
Speaking about one versus team games, does anyone remember a pretty cool hl2 mod called "Hidden"? I remember it was really fun to play, and the cool thing was that the hunted ones were not just rabbits running from inevitable death but could actually confront the hunter with the proper teamwork and use of devices (which was actually the only way for them to survive anyways). Kind of miss this kind of experience.
Finally! Why has it taken so long for somebody to make a game like this? They should do a whole franchise with all the classic slashers. Freddy, Michael, Leatherface, etc. Though I only speak from the perspective of being the killer, being a victim running away and hiding like it's Amnesia looks lame.
I've been excited for a game like this since they announced Last Year. It needs to be super balanced and well though out, or else people will just exploit certain mechanics and it would break the immersion and atmosphere. Dead by Daylight looks fun, but it looks like something that could get boring after a while if they don't add more level types and maybe different killers. I'm super excited for all of these slasher games atm, but super cautious at the same time cause they're so easy to mess up.
Why does this have to be 3rd person like the other one?
I'm wondering how they'll make it so that players aren't just running away from Jason the entire time outside since he walks so slowly. It'd be really hard for Jason to catch anyone unless they hide

I'm highly interested, just that they are showing a very early alpha makes it look really unpolished in my mind. I'm dead sure that will be fixed. like the slight teleporting movement when doing an enviro-kill. and Jason just looks a little "janky" is the only word i can think of to use. again alpha yes I know.
Looks a little jank because its early but this has a lot of potential. Got some good sound direction already though. That fucking stomping noise Jason makes while he's walking around is 10/10.
I'm excited for this, Dead by Daylight, and any other types of these games. We are missing out on these games and its being filled by some quite high quality games. Graphically it looks a bit better than Dead by Daylight, though we will have to see if it plays better too. [editline]15th June 2016[/editline] So Why did Evolve flop? I did play the beta and had a really good time, though it seems to be deader than most Indie multiplayer titles.

That looks surprisingly fun though it might bet boring quick.

There was this one guy with videos on youtube who was really good at it aswell. Played like a true predator out of a horror movie aswell, sticking people on the ceilings and just fucking up everyone. ontopic, this looks pretty cool, and it has a chance to be really good
