By cardboard cutouts, I am focusing on cardboard cutouts of people or things used for parties or just for personal ownership! They can be bought full size, 2/3 size, 1/3 size or tabletop. There is a wide range of different cardboard cutouts and they are high quality prints (if you buy them from the correct sites...). The specific cardboard cutouts of television and film characters I am talking about can be free-standing on a supplied cardboard backstand or can be hung on
walls.

As I mentioned earlier they can be used for (usually) childrens parties or if you are a fan of a certain film or television show you might aquire it as a piece of memorabilia. Cardboard cutouts in general have been around for a while as an alternative point and sale display usually used for advertising but have recently made there way into an alternate catagory. To be honest I do not have a straight forward answer on why someone would purchase one but I bought a David Tennantone just because I am a big fan of him as 'The Doctor'.

The life sized cardboard cutouts are around £20 - £30, the half sized and table top ones are around £10 - £20.

Huh? This isn't an advertisement, it's called a megathread, I am informing you about the subject, if someone makes a megathread on lighting that does not mean he is trying to pitch the idea of lighting to you so that he can make money lol.

True lol
One thing they don't sell is full size tardis cut outs but they sell 3/4 ones.
Also if you wanted to have the both of them you would not (if you had sense) buy two for £60 but instead but the one with both of them on... this one...

It was one of the cut outs advertising San Andreas.
Stealing them from cinemas and placing them in random places is hilarious.
They are a bit pricey I guess... I wish there were like £5 or maybe £10 each.
i made a cardboard cutout of myself a while ago. it's about 1.5 ft tall. thinking about making a new one now that i have a camera that takes higher res pictures.
