God I hate that slow camera movement crap. Looks decent though.
God I hate that slow camera movement crap. Looks decent though.
i imagine its for the same reason doom's trailers were slow as fuck
Which lead people to believe that DOOM was gonna be slow paced.
I'm so glad modders managed to unfuck the FO4 mechanics (skill and perk system for example) Hopefully it doesn't get stuck in development hell or even cancelled
I'm so glad modders managed to unfuck the FO4 mechanics (skill and perk system for example) Hopefully it doesn't get stuck in development hell or even cancelled
i'm a game dev myself and the rate at which F4NV is moving is lightning-fast, so i don't think the last two will be problems
Why would they show this before it's complete? It's just gonna get DMCA'd
Not gonna lie, I wouldn't have missed the karma system one bit, but I guess it is for completeness sake
Why would they show this before it's complete? It's just gonna get DMCA'd
Bethesda is usually pretty lax about this kind of stuff, so long as its made that you have to own both games. Its why stuff like Tale of Two Wastelands can exist.
Why would they show this before it's complete? It's just gonna get DMCA'd
No it isn't, Bethesda are perfectly ok with this sort of thing as long as it is using completely and wholly original assets and as long as it's free, I.E, you aren't making any money from it. And if it isn't in some cases, it's allowed as long as you make it so it REQUIRES the purchase of say, New Vegas in this case. (which in this case, since Fallout 4: New Vegas is utilizing Voice Acting from New Vegas, it will require New Vegas) Like A Tale of a Two Wastelands (which is a mod that combines Fallout 3 into Fallout New Vegas so you can play both games in one) does. Same thing with the older less known Morrowblivion, which was Morrowind in Oblivion, it was basically just an asset paste coded to work in Oblivion, it required Morrowind (utilizing it's assets whole sale) and obviously Oblivion, but it was perfectly fine in the eyes of Bethesda, or the very recent Skywind, which is Morrowind completely and utterly recreated in Skyrim with original assets, or Skyblivion, which is a recreation of Oblivion in Skyrim, as long as you are either creating original assets, or making the original game a requirement, it's all good in the eyes of Bethesda.
Why would they show this before it's complete? It's just gonna get DMCA'd
they're not distributing anything made by bethesda and thus are not providing any good reason for a DMCA takedown
Why would they show this before it's complete? It's just gonna get DMCA'd
They probably would of done something about Skywind by now if they cared enough about these kind of things
Why would they show this before it's complete? It's just gonna get DMCA'd
As much as Bethesda deserves shit, they haven't been ones to go after modders in any significant capacity
God I hate that slow camera movement crap. Looks decent though.
They do it so you don't get sick watching some mlg pro player using a fast as fuck mouse
Amazing, the only way to make Fallout 4 good is to overhaul it into New Vegas. Mods do truly fix everything.
the Caravan shotgun and the Level Up menu are out as standalone mods for Fo4 FYI.
the Caravan shotgun and the Level Up menu are out as standalone mods for Fo4 FYI.
lots of things made for F4NV's out as standalone stuff. there's too many to list but a lot of them are made by Deadpool2099
not gonna lie, i didn't have high hopes for this at first because projects like this usually take a super long time to materialise into something completely playable but this is looking really good already
They do it so you don't get sick watching some mlg pro player using a fast as fuck mouse
I don't get sick, you might, it's probably why I find the slow stuff annoying though, because the faster stuff doesn't bother me at all.
this is really impressive but this won't be stable for years and years to come as even if they port everything just right the amount of variables and interactions in the quests and dialog would need to be hand checked everywhere you go, and as the case is with these things removing one bug introduces 5 others
this is really impressive but this won't be stable for years and years to come as even if they port everything just right the amount of variables and interactions in the quests and dialog would need to be hand checked everywhere you go, and as the case is with these things removing one bug introduces 5 others
Just like the real bethesda games!
That level up menu is such a pleasure to see, I almost wet myself when I noticed it had a search feature as well. Something so insignificant is such a worthwhile addition, really great work by the modding team.
I'm so glad this and the Capital Wasteland mods respectively are being made.

I'm pretty confident that they can eliminate bugs without exponentially fucking up their project..
I gotta say, NV with FO4's rising mod community and combat gameplay (and some damage rebalancing perhaps) is definitely looking like an interesting prospect, especially with all the system overhauls. As much as I like New Vegas, even with animation and immersion mods galore the Oblivion-era stiff movement and combat control make it hard for me to really get into it.
the Caravan shotgun and the Level Up menu are out as standalone mods for Fo4 FYI.
Where? I can't find the level up mod anywhere.

I'm glad to know that I will at least have one last good Fallout experience
Mods is one of the driving forces of Bethesda's game popularity. It would be a huge mistake to not accept modders doing this. Fair enough you need to purchase both games. As long as they allow it to happen if you own those games, it's a win win
Man, the NV soundtrack never fails to make me uneasy.
