Well that looks fucking amazing.
I burst out laughing when he blew up Sully. Loving all the little touches though, lots of neat tiny animation details and it's really nice to see some floppy slings on guns.
why is the video private?
why is the video private?
It wasn't meant to be uploaded so early. It'll be back up in a few hours.
Bump, video is back up.
the motion blur kinda makes me dizzy, game looks great otherwise though.
Is this just showcasing their clone of Spintires? Like there's not much to see in this gameplay.
dare i say it doesn't look that fantastic?
Is this just showcasing their clone of Spintires? Like there's not much to see in this gameplay.
I think you've completely missed the entire point of the segment. It's not a showcase on the vehicle mechanics, it's a showcase on the less linear wide open areas, and the fact that there isn't action 100% of the game. I personally think this is fantastic and is a much needed addition to the series, because honestly, having set piece after set piece and shootout after shootout kind of gets a bit tiring.
dare i say it doesn't look that fantastic?
You deduced that from this video alone? Have you seen this one?
Is this just showcasing their clone of Spintires? Like there's not much to see in this gameplay.
it's showcasing how the characters interact with each other during small times and how you can explore a loooot more and in a lot more open areas.
"What are the chances this volcano is going to erupt on us?" "Zero, it's extinct" Sully is not very genre savvy.
I hope that's not the only sequence in the game like this.
driving looks gamey and super sensitive
I do like how getting out of the vehicle cut off Sam's dialogue at one point, then getting back into it had Sully asking Sam to pick back up again as he took a moment to try to recall. Even games like GTA V just had the characters pause what they were saying and then pick back up from the nearest word or part of the sentence like nothing happened.

[editline]5th April 2016[/editline]
dare i say it doesn't look that fantastic?
you'd be alone there, how does this not look fantastic its one of the most visually representative games of real life there's been to date, the little touches down to the actual core gameplay that works so well, if you don't think this looks fantastic then i'm sorry but you need your eyes checking.
driving looks gamey and super sensitive
Yeah that's what it seems like, especially when they were on the bridge, it seemed like he accidently flicked his stick and it nearly threw him off of the edge.
I wonder if it was scripted for the demonstration though.
It doesn't seem to be a naughty dog playthrough and instead a playthrough on a channel of someone who has access to parts of the game early. Also, judging by the pretty ordinary combat gameplay with no impressive gameplay events I'd really doubt any of it was scripted at all.
I wonder if it was scripted for the demonstration though.
Generally a lot of that stuff actually happens in the Uncharted series. The character interactions tend to be somewhat varied. Seeing companions take more active roles in combat is pretty cool though, they'd maybe hit a guy or two in the previous games. Having them charge in to help when you're in a grapple is neat.
