I like how he says that 9 people were killed, but doesn't specify how they got killed, as in, how they lynched the commandos and beat them up with all sorts of improvised weapons, until the commandos were allowed to use lethal force to save their own skin.

I do believe their actions were not 100% justified, but the activists are just stupid to attack them like this, and the commandos shouldn't be blamed for having to use lethal force to save themselves.

Defend against what? Noone attacked them in the first place, and the Israeli forces have every right to check the cargo. Either check or sink the ship as it enters Israeli waters.

They were in international waters, and the blockade that Israel set up in the first place is illegal.
Theoretically they can be considered pirates for boarding the ship.
It was a dumb idea to hit the commando's coming down, but this would have all been avoided if Israel hadn't boarded a Turkish ship in international waters.

I know it wasn't right of the IDF to board the ships in international waters, but they weren't a risk on the activists' security, and these guys had no right to attack the commandos like that.

In Israeli waters they have the right to SINK the ship, not just check it. Is that what you wanted? And to those saying that the borders are illegal: the borders are actually recognized by the U.N.
See, I'm not in favor of the actual killing, obviously things could be resolved in a much better way. But you have to agree that Israel was not provoking.

They didn't have any "machine guns", they had paintball guns and pistols.
They intended to board the ships and tell them to turn around. They came on board and were attacked with items/weapons that could kill them. If they did not fight back, they would have died. It is incredibly ironic that a ship full of people on a HUMANITARIAN mission would fatally attack other HUMANS.
I find it horrible that people ended up dying, and I think an investigation has to be carried out to determine who is at fault so they can be held accountable.
Finally, when the fuck have you ever seen or heard of pirates boarding a ship from a helicopter without lethal weapons at the ready with intentions of telling the ship to turn around?

This is a lie.
The ships were trying to get through a blockade. It isn't there to look cool; blockades usually search people coming through. They wouldn't have any point otherwise, now, would they?
Civilians, defending themselves? The Israeli commandos landing on the boat didn't even have any actual weapons out at the time. There was nothing to defend themselves from, unless they were, y'know, hiding something.
