what's with mobas and monkey kings? like every moba has one.
china loves that gametype sun wu kong is china and is in every china-supported game somehow
Does he start the game with a free Monkey King Bar in inventory?
I do like this guy's voice. Also, it does seem like this guy has somewhat of an Illusion focus akin to Phantom Lancer.
So he's an illusion hero, I hope the use of illusions is creative somehow. I don't really think we need any more illus.

I've always liked Wukong and he looks great here. Hope he's as fun as the one in Smite.
I do like this guy's voice.
it's high noon
I had a feeling I recognized that voice from somewhere. My oh my.
What is with fat people and hooks.
Something satisfying about the archetype of a tanky hero who can pull enemies in close, I wager. Any others we can name, beyond Pudge, Stitches and Roadhog? Though when it comes to similar heroes, you don't really see Kunkka eating oranges to be k. Though to be fair, Daelin Proudmoore (as he was called in the old days) most likely cropped up long before ol' Gangplank swaggered in.
The Veteran from SMNC.
Sylvanus from Smite, though funnily enough, an assassin originally had the pull in Smite but was moved to him when she got reworked. Speaking of Hirez games, they also just released a character in Paladins who's a tank with a hook. :v:
the butcher from diablo
Possibly the first time I've been truly hyped for something Dota related in awhile, can't wait to try the game out again once he's released.
Nyx out for Harambe. :hurr:
Him and Nehza are both in fucking Warframe, Christ
Cause the Monkey King is a well known character in general.
hyped for goddamn sure
I assume that bit where he hops on the trees and beastmaster keeps looking for him might be a hint on him having a invisibility/blink ability
I assume that bit where he hops on the trees and beastmaster keeps looking for him might be a hint on him having a invisibility/blink ability
World boss info from dota 1 2 years ago. Ult seams to have a lot of anti-synergy with nimbus. His kit might be entirely different though, so who knows.
But when will we finally get Goku?
But when will we finally get Goku?
Smite's Wukong is voiced by Sean Schemmel. v:v:v For those who don't know, Goku (and the OG Dragon Ball) were based on Wukong and Journey to the West. That's why his name is Son Goku.
Any others we can name, beyond Pudge, Stitches and Roadhog?
Devourer from HoN, Blitzcrank from League. It is sort of a cliche at this point but it's a must-have hero kit for games like that.
is that Matt Mercer I hear? Oh fuck yes it is.
Valve announcing two heroes in two days? What is this? Valve have clearly lost it
Valve announcing two heroes in two days? What is this? Valve have clearly lost it
Don't worry, they got it covered. They will use dark magic to take away HL2: Episode Two, and maybe also One and make it look like they never were a thing.
china loves that gametype sun wu kong is china and is in every china-supported game somehow
It's usually added as a show of good faith/respect to china/Chinese players. Sun Wukong and Ne-Zha and INSANELY popular figures in china so devs know that chinese players will eat them up. Plus they make for really interesting characters in games anyways. (There's been rumors that companies like Tencent force other companies to put in sun wukong or they wont fund them in China, but that seems a little hard to believe.) [editline]13th August 2016[/editline] Also: This is the first Dota 2 Exclusive Hero. he won't be making his way to Dota 1, and he's not a port over. Get hype.
E: IM LATE AS FUCK
What is with fat people and hooks.
Ask Blizzard, they have a fetish.
