that was actually really interesting, i thought they would spray it with stuff but really its just presentation. It's clever.
It's interesting how she argues the case to still defend the fact that they are obviously different. I think watching the video gives you an interesting insight but I don't really get how she defends the likes of photoshopping the burger.
Well, that was surprisingly straight forword.
I thought they made those out of plastics for photoshoots

Disgusting shit. The food AND the marketing, mind you.
Isn't that called a Royal Cheeseburger?
very interesting stuff..
i still wouldn't eat there but interesting none the less
Does the food stylist get to eat the burger after the photoshoot?
Wow, that was actually really cool.
Dude being a food stylist sounds so badass.
'Oh I work for McDonalds'
"Oh wow okay, what are you a cashier?"
'No I'm actually a food stylist'
"Oh even better, you're a fry cook."
'Still wrong. I make the burgers for the commercials and advertisements. I quite literally style the food.'
"...Oh."
im not understanding the dislikes on the video; at least they're being honest.
Does the food stylist get to eat the burger after the photoshoot?
doesn't look that good to be honest.
he's cooking it more for looks rather than taste, so unlikely to be cooked all the way, and only the edges, only part of the cheese melted etc..

no this is like a live mesh warp or something
Wow, i never thought i'd see mcdonalds be upfront and honest about something like that.
Does the food stylist get to eat the burger after the photoshoot?
Stylized food is never edible when the photoshoot is finished.
Wow, i never thought i'd see mcdonalds be upfront and honest about something like that.
Why not, presumably every picture of food on packaging you've ever seen is fake.
Stylized food is never edible when the photoshoot is finished.
Did you watch the video at all? It's just a normal burger. They don't add anything to it.
reminds me of how honest and modest Dominos commercials are. they always talk about not using flashy advertising tricks with celebrities and/or prettied up versions of their products, which I like. However, if they lowered their large pizza price to $10 or lower, then I might consider getting a pizza there.
Except its specifically cooked for aesthetics rather than donelyness. Specifically cooking the edge, spot melting the cheese, all ingredients to the front. They use the same materials, sure, but the meat is likely not done.
Well this was awfully honest. Didn't expect that much from McDonalds.
I wonder why the McDonalds questions channel get so many downvotes.
"Why is your food so cheap?" "We buy in huge bulk!"
"Why don't you guys grill the patties? Better than microwaves!" "We don't have microwaves, just grills and warming trays. We never pre-make your burger."
"Why do photos of burgers look tastier?" "We spend more time dressing them up with some Photoshop work"
They're answering pretty truthfully, what else is it that people want?

Italian chefs and a garnish along side it with a small glass of 1964 Dom Perignon, obviously.
"because we're in a one dimensional world in the camera"
And that is why he is a food stylist.
This video makes it look like it's okay to do this kind of advertisement -_-
This video makes it look like it's okay to do this kind of advertisement -_-
It is.
This video makes it look like it's okay to do this kind of advertisement -_-
Advertisement is based on exaggeration and even outright lies, this is nothing new, this is something that will never change. If this wasn't true, the OxyClean commercials would have been Billy Mays going "Lol shit doesn't work bro."
This is... really interesting actually.
So they just admitted you can't really buy what's being advertised and what IS advertised - some respects - doesn't really exist? How is this not false advertising?

Because they're still using the same ingredients? They never made promises they'd be cosmetically the same as they are in the ads.
