Another cool one

I want the jelly balls, badly
This steve splangler guy is awesome. Also, more news channels need a science section.
I saw the title and thought this was some weird Dr. Mengele expirement.
It's funny, they keep saying how they're completely invisible when they're in the water, but you can definitely see their outlines at some points in the video.
This is still totally awesome.
I have these at home, they're pretty cool. The only annoying thing is that it's nigh impossible to get them to dry back to their little ball form. If you leave it out in the open, exposure reduces these to nothing more than a dissolved jelly. They also have a strange but barely noticeable smell to them. What they're really good for, however, is transparent plant pots. I have a small rose plant growing on my desk and the jelly helps retain the water while holding the stem in place.
Great experiments. I knew about the jelly pellets, but the dry ice bubbles cough me off guard.
I might prepare some of those jelly water marbles for a fight at class.

Whoa that gotta be epic!
I want to make smoke now.
We did the dry ice bubbles thing at work once, they ended up going everywhere
That's so fucking cool.
Didn't expect that :v:

Oh and one thing I've wondered, What happens if you pop them? Can you stick objects in them or do they have some kind of small layer of protection that keeps them from bursting?

They are aren't a membrane filled with water. It's the same jelly through the whole volume.
I did this for a project at school.
It didn't work and I failed -_-
This is really cool, but how do you attach a spicket to the pickle jar?

Ah ok.
just buy a tea jar thing.

The cubes were much better than the spheres at it though, I could hardly see the outlines there

Watched the second one, if I could get dry ice I'd make those bubbles, they were awesome
Although it'd be hard to keep them together for more than a couple of seconds
