You've been lurking for 5 years and you come with a thread like this? Sorry, OP. But other than that, you shouldn't really be looking among new stuff if you want that kinda sound.
I find it hilarious when a lurker actually makes an effort to post. :3:
dont be a cunt when someone trys to make a post
Can I have content now?
not really, not worth my time
BBC4 at the moment (or atleast over the past week or so) have been playing documentaries followed by hours of Easy Listening At The BBC. I listened to it for a bit the other day, but it started getting a bit too loungey and bit Bacharach-ey. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it can sometimes sound a little bit cheesy.
cheers doozie nice to see someone being helpfull

And you're not making any effort at all. And when you say it's not worth your time, you really come off as a bad poster.
I don't really know of any newer musicians other than what you mentioned. Also you can watch it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/search?q=easy%20listening%20at%20the%20bbc

It's okay, but BBC music docs tend to be a bit... empty in terms of conveying the greatness.
well you are, someone makes a post and you take the piss, all im asking for is other peoples suggestions in jazz music and swing, im after content like m buble and norah jones, simple as that
Well alrighty mate, perhaps Patrick Vining is something you'd like.
Alice Russell is nice. Also can't beat a bit of Joni Mitchell Also OP, your attitude towards this section is a bit shite. Be a bit nicer yeah?
Protip for finding jazz: When you buy a jazz album, look up all the musicians who play on the album. Chances are they'll have albums out too which feature different musicians and so on.
Yeah I saw a bit of it. I love it when BBC4 have the music programmes where they just show performances at the BBC.
Didn't BBC 4 do a season on jazz?
BBC music docs tend to be a bit... empty
how dare you insult our royal documentaries
how dare you insult our royal documentaries
You're not even British. :smug:
Michael Bublé is quite nice, but I'd rather suggest some different stuff like Morphine or Jazzkamikaze, it's different but very enjoyable!
cheers for the help so far guys, last fm kinda sees m buble as a bit of everything as ive got all sorts even heavy metal, but it introduced me to norah jones so all is good
norah jones so all is good
She's great. Father also great, but he's the complete opposite spectrum.
there are two types of jazz, bop and cool
there are two types of jazz, bop and cool
forgetting psychedelic
You're not even British. :smug:
To be fair i'm not even all that british but shhh
You've been lurking for 5 years and you come with a thread like this? Sorry, OP. But other than that, you shouldn't really be looking among new stuff if you want that kinda sound.
six
Sam Prekop Diana Krall Corinne Bailey Rae Alicia Keys [editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
Protip for finding jazz: When you buy a jazz album, look up all the musicians who play on the album. He said he likes Michael Buble and Norah Jones, easy listening stuff from nowadays.
