• Radiator fell off, pay for shoes

So a month ago, something funny happened at school. So it was during the break, at our school we have some space for people who want to study or do homework. I hadn't done my homework so I was doing it there. Then, a friend of mine came to me and wanted to borrow money from me. I said no several times but for some reason he didn't understand it. Then, he started pushing me for fun, not in a very annoying way, but it did distract me from the work I had to do. So I stood up and pushed him. He collided with the radiator and boom, the radiator fell off. Then, a lot of (apparently hot) water started to come out from some kind of pipe that was connected to the radiator. People started screaming and left that little space. It was something like this Teachers rushed the place and something and we had to leave. The bell rang, we had to go to our classes but a teacher hold everyone up and said that due to some problems at that study room, we have to wait a little before we can go to our classes. Everyone started cheering and shouting in a happy way. Lessons started after a while, and no one knew who did this all, besides some friends of mine who were also there, but they wouldn't say anything. But then, me and all of my friends who were there in the study room were told to go to some guy. We went there and he started questioning us, it was weird because I know for sure there aren't any cameras at the study room. He told us that some students told our names. He started to accuse everyone of what happened but me and my friend said we did it, he became angry because he had to ruin one hour of his life to find out what happened. He said that a letter would be sent home blah blah and we had to pay things. I got a letter at home telling what happened and the bill would be sent later and for some reason my parents weren't really angry at me. Now today I received the amount of money I have to pay. I expected somewhere in the hundreds or maybe even thousands of euros, but it was only 70 euros (70 euros me, 70 euros for that guy who I pushed). I was happy, until I saw why I had to pay 70 euros. It was for a goddamn pair of shoes of a teacher. The damage done to the building itself was paid by their insurance. Now I'm really pissed off, there was no teacher present at the moment the radiator fell off. The teachers came in after they heard all those screamings and for some reason the teacher thought it would be a great idea to walk in the water with his 140 euros costing shoes. They also sent a copy of a receipt, when and were he bought those shoes and the price. Now 70 euros isn't a lot of money and I think I have an insurance that could pay it, but I'm not going to. Instead, I'm going to talk with that guy again together with my friend, asking whose shoes got 'damaged', why his 140 euros costing shoes aren't water proof or get damaged by water, and why I have to pay for that. I also told them that there was something wrong with the radiator since a radiator isn't supposed to fall in such case, but they keep denying that and say that those 6 year old radiators are built in a good way and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. I have scanned the letter if you would like to see it, but it is in Dutch, however, I'll translate the important part of it.
Most of the damaged things are paid by our insurance. However, there was a small part that the insurance didn't pay, and you have to pay the half of that. It is about the footwear of a teacher. The other student has to pay the other half of it. We've got a copy of the receipt of the shoe, and you could talk to your own insurance whether it could pay the money. We want you to pay €69.98 (...)
tl;dr i pushed a guy, he came to the radiator, it fell off and water came out of a pipe that was connected to it, and now we have to pay 70 euros each because a pair of shoes got damaged because of a dumb teacher who ran in the water with his shoes
Don't pay? Tell the teacher is a dumbarse for walking in the water himself.
shitty post below me, gg fp
it looks like the guy on the right is removing his own head
shoot up your school
it looks like the guy on the right is removing his own head
lol... But yeah, don't pay that shit.
don't shoot up your school
Um, I don't know for sure but if the samge to the radiator is payed by insurance then it must be the same for the shoes. You can also just not pay, he won't have any foot to stand on.
Teacher is stupid He only walked in it to get some new shoes
i bust a door in school and it cost £60 for repairs, but i didnt make a fucking wall of text about it tl;dr: don't care (User was banned for this post ("Why reply?" - SteveUK))
Wow, in no way would you ever see me paying for some dumb cunt's shoes. As if he didn't hear the hissing from the radiator when water was rushing out. You would be wise to fight this, and don't stop. Never give in and pay for the idiot of a teacher's shoes.
Revolt! Don't pay for his shoes.
Please stop
That's not fair. Don't pay.
How do you damage shoes with water?
shoot up your school
And leave a note saying lady gaga and justin bieber inspired you to do it
I accidentally put my elbow through a window in a door and got a shard of glass buried deep in my elbow. They tried to make my pay £90 but quickly reconsidered when I mentioned that the glass they had in the window was not reinforced and was a health and safety breach :keke:

Explain why you won't pay, and then if they keep trying to get you to, write something to your local board of education or whatever filing a complaint.
How do you damage shoes with water?
That's what I was thinking. I soaked my shoes at least 20 times and they still look brand new. Unless his shoes were electric then yeah.
Hey, mag ik ook wat geld lenen?
And leave a note saying lady gaga and justin bieber inspired you to do it
hey, justin bieber is awesome
Hey, mag ik ook wat geld lenen?
nee but I think one of my parents are going to talk with those guys, my parents really want to see how exactly the 'damaged' shoe has been damaged.
Don't pay him. He's an idiot for walking into the water in the first place, it's his own fault.
Beat the fuck out of him.
I'd make him pay me.
Ask to see the shoes.
This ^
Don't pay.
Ask to see the shoes.
Well, we're going to ask whether we can see them, perhaps I'll take a photo of it.
