a miyazaki film without a fantasy element??
Yep, have you ever seen Whisper of the Heart? It's also one. I believe this and Whisper were both produced by Itzou Takahata though. Still Ghibli and amazing though!
edit: Yes Goro was the one making it, but Takahata usually oversees some of this work.
Grave of the Fireflies too
Jeff Dunham is in this movie.

I might not be interested in the subject, but that art style looks absolutely gorgeous as always
I saw this subtitled. I liked it. It's really cute, and more of a traditional love story. And of course, the art is absolutely beautiful.
There may be no fantasy element, but it's worth a watch.

If that movie taught me anything it's that Studio Ghibli can make both feel-good movies, and movies that will ruin your entire day.
I wonder why they left out "From The Director That Brought You Tales From Earthsea".
I can't imagine why.

Why does that matter?

I think father and son may still be feuding.
Why does that matter?
It's just why. His filmography is filled with specials and the such. I mean I understand a comedian working on an animated film maybe once or twice.
But in a Miyazaki film?! That's just surreal to me.
I mean.

This in a Miyazaki film? I seriously just do not understand why out of any comedic celebrity in the country, hell is any English speaking country, they picked Jeff Dunham.
Like father like son.

I couldn't imagine seeing a Miyazaki film with dubs anyhow.
Oh well, we all have our preferences. Jeff probably has a minor role.
he probably got in due to a certain kind of voice they were looking for, and not for his unique brand of comedy

Watching foreign films in English under any circumstance ever, Not even once.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Emily Osment are in this movie? Wow.
I want my Soot Sprites :C
For some reason I expected something to do with WW1, probably the poppy in the name.
I saw this a couple of months ago. It's nice, but it isn't that special. The plot is really bland when you compare with previous Ghibli films. It does look lovely, of course.
