Bill Watterson is one of the dudes who can say pretty much whatever he wants in comic book form and you can't help but agree with it.
I actually live really close to Bill and want to be able to meet him some day, I'm afraid though that he'll be offended because it'll sound like I'll only want to meet him because of Calvin and Hobbes.

Be careful- my friend is very close with the Watterson family. Bill's apparently very much a loner and a shut in, so he may not want to talk much

Calvin and Hobbes is still one of the funniest comics out there
The part of the C&H strips that always stuck with me is the idea of completely immersing yourself in a the world of your imagination, where you can let it run amok and you can literally go anywhere and be anything you want. It's the pure freedom of childhood.
The simple little things that Calvin and Hobbes would do, like go on walks in the forest, riding down the hill in a wagon, building a time machine out of a cardboard box, all of that just harkens to a simpler time in our lives, and I think that's especially powerful when you're older.
I definetley will look out for this. Hopefully it'll be on Netflix or something...
