Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Different kinds of medicines have been developed by the Pharmacy Research Institute under the Academy of Medical Science in the DPRK. Among them are silymarin tablet and leu-val hepatitis transfusion, which are efficacious against liver diseases. They also include amino acids nutrition transfusion and other medicines for coughing, diarrhea, heart disease, cerebral thrombosis, etc. Source: http://www.kcna.co.jp/item/2014/201406/news05/20140605-21ee.html
Uhh... :v:
The medicine is all cyanide. Technically you don't have liver disease anymore if you're dead.
Thanks, KCNA. Let us know when you guys invent a medicine called "food".
The medicine is all cyanide. Technically you don't have liver disease anymore if you're dead.
Is that why there's no sick people in Pyongyang? :v:
Medical capital of the world, all hail Dear Leader.

where is the joke
I imagine lil Kim just taking western medicine and telling his scientists to focus on that active ingredient and claim it was divine inspiration "Sir we have in vented a medicine that counteracts diareah, gas, and indigestion. The active ingredient you suggested is a godsend, our scientists would never be inspired to try bismuth, that is why you are the great leader!"
They should consider making a not-starving pill.
Kim jung il did invent the double bread with meat why dont they start handing those out?
Jesus Christ India, get your fucking shit together.
You know how the world population is a bit above 7 Billion? well India has 1.2 Billion of them
You know how the world population is a bit above 7 Billion? well India has 1.2 Billion of them
And in other food related Indian feats they manage to deliver breakfasts and shit accurately every morning. Trust me, I saw it on Top Gear.
You know how the world population is a bit above 7 Billion? well India has 1.2 Billion of them
your argument is invalid though since China has more people and copes better
your argument is invalid though since China has more people and copes better
Except they've got crazy efficient industrialization and a lower birth population growth rate. Less kids to feed.

It should be obvious to assume that most of the gray countries would be in that range (you're fucking retarded if you think that Germany, for example, has anything higher than a 10% malnutrition rate). Use your head. [editline]7th June 2014[/editline]
I'm surprised India is doing worse than Africa.
Unfair comparison; India is a single country while Africa is a giant continent with a large amount of vastly diverse countries within it.
gray is no data :)
Still it's pretty obvious that west and us would be in a <10.1% colour range. What I don't like in the map is a really low accuracy. Ten percent step, and anything above fifty marked with one colour? Really?

The issue we have in genere is not producing, but transporting food. Countries like Africa/India etc. have poor infrastructure excepting perhaps areas adjacent to water ports. Then, they have the issue of not affording enough energy/oil etc. for their needs. Then they need the machinery(trucks, trains, planes, ships) Then, India's gov't budget is about the same as Netherlands'. Their only hope is that the private companies will build a transport industry, but they lack the incentives to do so, as there is a very low purchasing power in india's undeveloped regions. So, even if you had 300 million people living in East India, their overall purchasing power does not even rival a small country like Sweden. They're only left with being an extractive society, or finding alternative niches like IT to grow in.
