So my friend got a job this summer, made about $2500, and decided to buy a set of $400 [I]pogo stilts[/I].
They came in the mail yesterday and he was quite happy. They make him more than 7 feet tall and add about 18 lbs of weight.
Right now, all he can do is move around at about a brisk walk pace, but when you get good you're supposed to be able to jump like 6 feet in the air, do flips and run 40 km/h.
He looks like a retard with his helmet on so I'll just give you the picture of his legs.

There's lots of names for them. We just call them Pogo stilts becuase it best describes them.

I used to have a pair of these except they were powerizers, think they were the company that invented them. They bottomed out everytime i jumped so i sent them back.

Those look like a lot of fun if you get good at them.

If they increased speed meaningfully, I'd be interested, as is I don't see anything that suggests they're faster than a good sprint or skates at a decent clip.
